I was interested in History way before I became interested in guns (at least, to the level I am now). In fact, a part of the attraction guns had for me was precisely because of History. So C&Rs were a natural fit for me.

I enjoy researching their History (the models' and that of individual firearms), just holding that old battle rifle or handgun and trying to find out all the places it went through, think of the men who carried it. I like learning the same tricks the soldiers of old found out the hard way, and it helps me understand certain things from military History. I like shooting them, somehow it's a different feeling, when you're shooting an old warhorse. Well, that didn't come out right

There's a certain lethal beauty in these old worn veterans. One day I'll be old and worn out, just like them, but I doubt I'll be as functional

Its still surplus. Seems to bruise the ego more especially when a girlfriend is around.

A combination of my two favorite hobbies: history and guns.

History is my passion!

Used to watch the History Channel as a kid rather than cartoons.

for about 20 years a absorbed everything i could about WW 2. i bet i have read 500 books about WW2 . battles, equipment, personal accounts. i just could not get enough. Other wars just never got me hooked. i have a modest knowledge of WW 1 Korea.
so now my Surplus gun hobby fits right in with what i have learned. have you been to the battleship Iowa ?. every weekend for a long time i volunteered at the planes of fame air museum, loved hanging out with my WW 2 buddies.
