nmerced, where have you been?

Exodus343, it's not mine, but yes, I shot an AOW today.

Also it seems a few Calgunners don't know who Alexander Hamilton or Aaron Burr were or why their names would come up in conversation today:

I've been around.

I'll probably catch you guys sometime after Thanksgiving. It's been a while and I have some new toys to break in.

What the heck is going on here. People are conspiring to occupy all my benches? Sheesh, no wonder it's been so crowded on Sundays.

Just remember, this time of year, avoid metallic triggers since they'll freeze to your fingers, and don't shoot anything less than 200 grains since the wind will blow it back at you. I'd recommend wearing a 4/3 wetsuit if you don't have premium tactical gear that can withstand blizzard conditions.

The AOW was okay, but it lacked power. I like to have a gun where I can feel the recoil...8 gauge would have made it less of a fluff recoil.

Yep. Used to shoot there all the time until I moved out of Burbank. Now I need an excuse to go out that way.

And you are always welcome.

Glad you guys liked the AOW... JMP, shoot some 3" slugs out of it then. I thought it would kick harder too, but some people had trouble holding on the front

I can't make it this weekend, but going try for the 8th. Might have to go early though.

Yes, I will bring my Marlin 1894 Cowboy with 20" octagon barrel. You young kids gotta know what a real Marlin feels like I'll also bring my Remington 870 Wingmaster made in 1961 so you can see what an old 870 feels like.

I've shot a half dozen 870 Express models in the past decade (that supposedly all suck) and they all worked perfect out of the box. Every time someone I knew got a new 870, I made it a point to be there the first time they shot it so I could see for myself. Not as smooth as the old guns but they worked 100%.

Just went yesterday night! Was pretty nice! It wasn't even cold at night with no jacket on (maybe it was just my AK keeping me warm), might be going tomorrow again :P

Well, as long as me, you, Black Majik, and Jerry had fun, that's what counts. That bolt-action shotgun was pretty cool, BTW.
