Totally worth it for $35, the one I got has some minor textural/visual changes in the finish which is what I assume makes it a 2nd. The magwell feels pretty loose with both the GI and the Pmag I had to try, I'll actually mic it tomorrow vs. the blueprint spec to see.

I JUST walked in the door and found my blem 80 on the stairs waiting for me!!! Posting pics soon!!!

from visually inspecting absolutely NOTHING is wrong with it, except one thing... the rear take down pin hole is drilled too high can wont fit a pin properly. But no worries, I plan on just taking the rear pin to the wheel grinder and forming it to fit.

Just unboxed it!

Markings and drill holes are clear and intact! (left side)

Everything is clear and intact on the right side!

^^^ and here is the only problem! :P

AT $35 I would of jumped on a pair in a heartbeat if i was quick enough but their normal price at $100 im not seeing the big savings or why these are so special?

Im not knocking them, i really am not since i don't know much about them but i have a plum crazy complete lower new for $125 and that was a complete lower.

I like the idea of the dual tone plastic so you can see where to drill out but is that the big pull?

If im missing something id like to know and i'll buy one to give it a shot but $100 when that is the going price for machined lowers?

Please don't think im knocking EP 80 here, im just trying to see if there is something im not understanding here?

Well you dont need a mill or CNC machine for starters

Personally I would not spend $100 on one of these but ill pick up and fix up whatever $35 "scraps" I can get my hands on.

If I where to spend money in that range for a polymer 80 I would go with Polymer80 <<< $70 for a poly80!!! Plus you can get coatings (although a bit more expensive)! They are almost done with production and should be shipping soon.

But yeah I cant wait to get my hands on Polymer80's lower and compare.

Would an aluminum lower be "better" for the price? Yes and no really. Some people like myself don't have a mill or CNC but I would have no problem working some plastic out with a drill press and dremel tool. Plus these things are light as air. But aluminum is stronger.

Rear take down pin on the blems I got looks like yours and fit a upper just fine, I also got a pink one that is not a blem and its the same way,

one thing you need to look at is the trigger/hammer pin drill spots, mine was not 100% straight front to back.

why? I can do this with basic tools, first one took a little over a hour with fitting the trigger/hammer. as I do the others that time will go way down as I didn't know what i was looking for, now I do. and there is no pesky paper work.

Yeah I probably wouldn't be willing to pay more than $50 or 60 or so for these as A-stock. $100 gets you an aluminum 80% lower.

Yes, but not everyone has access to a CNC mill. I can finish these with a dremel in my garage, that's the appeal for me.

Mine showed up yesterday.

If these are blemished, then I can't even imagine how nice the good ones must be. These are really nice examples. I've got all the markings and drill spots right where they should be, nice and crisp and clear.

I'm a little concerned about a couple things as far as the injection molding process that they're using, though. The way that they've gated the mold leaves a weld line right on the top of the threads for the buffer tube, and that's one of the last places that I'd want to have a weld line. There's also a void on both of mine at the back of the mag well, right below / in front of the mag release. Neither of these concerns is necessarily a deal breaker, but it tells me that they haven't completely worked out the process for molding these yet.

I might have to give them a call and talk process.

Pull your credit card statement.
Type the address EXACTLY as shown on the statement.

Could be a period, could be St instead of Street, DR instead of Drive, etc.

Gave up using the "man account" and used my regular account and it went through fine. Don't know what the deal is with the other one. Address, card #, name, etc. matched credit union exactly. There's even plenty of money in there!
