I'd seriously keep an eye on Craigslist. Saw some cheap a few months ago around Modesto. I think $60 but were gone when I called. Haven't seen again but haven't been looking.

.. damn, if I had the space..

Guess I could dig the deck down a couple more feet, install a single layer of 12 and put the deck back over them... ?

Understand, but if you check around you'd find Brian is a pretty reputable guy with a pretty substantial business that doesn't want any problems a is just moving some used equipment.

Second a container is fairly easy to sanitize. Use the same chemicals required by the health dept for dishes and such in the food service industry.

Also note the seller wants $90 for a food grade tote that was $500 new. I would prefer used, $10 in sanitizer, and $400 for two solar panels then one new.

I wouldn't be so worried about them being unsanitary as I would about them being potentially toxic. There are a lot of dangerous chemicals that you wouldn't be able to wash out.

They are hard to find around here. Pot growers use them to haul water & fertilizer.

I'd like to have a few, but don't feel like driving 200 miles to pick them up.

There's a guy here near Salinas that has a trailer full of food grade IBC's all the time. $75-100/ea. He gets one's that have had vinegar or corn syrup in them/.

I just get the barrels that have corn syrup. There're tons of those that get shipped out here from Thailand since they sell cheap corn syrup for candy production.

The totes are OK if they have corn syrup or vinegar, I wouldn't get the vegetable oil ones since those would be intensely difficult to clean completely.
