Default Help AR bolt staked correctly?

Hi PSA team,

I recently bought rifle kits and received all the kits yesterday.

Please see pics below, one of the BCG doesn't look like it is correctly staked? seems to me the back nut is not even staked. The other two BGC's is some what better.....

Thanks,

Who made these? They are definitely not staked right.

Do you think some gremlin is going to climb inside your upper and try to unscrew it while shooting?

They're staked good enough, the metal is mooshed up against the screw and will provide enough friction that the screw won't back out on its own. You could probably remove the screw if you wanted, but it won't remove itself.

If you're really paranoid, or just want to make sure that the screw and gas key will be completely destroyed beyond repair if you ever need to remove it, then get a center punch and stake it deeper.

I guess Palmetto says it is ok:

"Sir,

The staking on the BCG looks fine, was there a particular concern about it? The staking imprints upon the actual screw to keep it from moving, however it is just an extra precaution as those gas keys to my knowledge do not come unscrewed without active attempts to take them out. Please let me know if you have any other concerns about this.

It looks like your BCGs were staked lightly, but the carrier key screws are also sealed with Loctite, so I don't think those key screws will be coming loose any time soon.
