The stock is great, but it too has some sticky spots in the finish. Don't know whats going on there

Did they send you the UPS shipping notice so you could have it held? I have My UPS and I requested them to let me know when it ships so I can have it held, I am out of town for the next few weeks on and off and don't want to miss it three times so they send it back to Wideners.

Just arrived an hour ago, I am EXTREMELY happy, this is a brand new rifle! It seriously looks as if it is has never been fired or perhaps just fired a few times. The fit and finish are typical CZ high quality, the bolt/receiver fit is very tight, trigger feels great, can't wait to shoot it. Bore is like a mirror

What a sweet little gun! So glad that I am on Calguns, I never would have seen this otherwise. I have a CZ527 Varmint, a CZ82 and I recently sold my CZ75 SP-01, I love their guns, they are so well made, reasonable cost and just appealing.

Yeah, that's a bummer kabah, but I bet if you look around, you can find one in the marketplace. When I did my research, these aren't super rare.

I don't see a date anywhere on this rifle, except for the 57 on the bolt handle? Didn't someone mention these were all 1950 or 51?

Yes, Wideners has been very good to me. This is the third gun I have bought from them and all have been pristine.

Ahh, thanks Lurch, didn't notice that. If the bolt is stamped 57, does that mean it is non-matching? Not that it matters, just curious.

My 2 bolts are stamped with a 96 and 31 so there's no way it could be a year.

Wow, 63 years old. What nice little guns they built back after the war. I was corrected over on the Rimfire Central board, I should be calling this a BRNO, not a CZ, even though it has the CZ logo on the receiver.

That's a fantastic stock

From what i gathered, BRNO and CZ were separate companies but were combined during communist times .. now BRNO is a subsidiary of CZ. Something like that

And i had to look up the pronunciation of BRNO - 'burr-no'
