Default RIA compact?

Anybody have one of these little guys?
What do you think of them?
Do they run OK. I know compact 1911's have a certian reputation...

For the price it seems like a good deal still.
Or should I just get a RIA tactical to complement my Charles Daily tactical...

I have one. Its nice, I have a few "beef's", its very sensative to your magazine. Don't get any cheap stuff.... The sights are pretty weak, so you'll want to change those quickly after you get it. And finally, its a 45 in a tiny little size, if going to sting a little bit after a few rounds. Just be ready for it.
Overall I like it, but be ready for a few down sides.

Here is one that I had. Unlike Biscuitninja's, mine didn't come with the beavertail.

I did a little custom work to it, added Novaks and refinished it. I ended up selling it to a fellow Calguns member. While I had it, it was completely reliable. RIA factory mags do suck, however. With some new springs, they should be fine.

I put this up in another thread recently, but just so you have it:
http://forum.m1911.org/index.php?

You can read 'till your eyes bleed about RIA and other 1911s. Alot of positive posts on RIA guns and make sure you register so you can see the pics.

I too am looking at a RIA, just saving a few bucks while I figure out which one to get
