I WANT <: (

I would also get a bayonet, leave the regular stock, add a nylon shell holder thing to the stock, and try to add ghost ring rifle sites or tritium truglo sights.

I'd also like it parkerized or matted blue finish, but for 329.99 @ big 5 sales, I would have to buy normal blue.....unless someone here could direct me to a place that will sell cheaper parkerized mossy 590s

Nice setup. Good to have that bayonet for those damn zombies that get too close :P
Seeing that bayonet reminds of of this:

Is that the Knoxx Spec Ops stock with the recoil reducing buffer?

Is that the hogue stock and foreend? If so how do you like it? Did you have to buy the extra adapter for the fore-end to fit?

The reason I wont buy a knoxx spec ops or any other pistol grip stock is you have to take the stock assebly off to take apart the shotgun for cleaning....It isnt worth it IMO

insight allows slugs as well? if so, thats definitely more convenient than driving out to burro or angeles just to shoot a long gun.

whats up with that 590 on the blue towel? it looks like elmers glue was used to bond the bayonet lug and the end of the mag tube to the barrel.

Called Brea and yup. 415 + tax + dros. So it equals out to the price of the gun if I had it shipped to me.

I would so go for the Big5 deal if they had Parkerized. Bluing just doesn't look good to me.....although with the money I'd save I;d be able to really mod it up.

Really? I called him up. They didn't have it in though, they had to order it from a distributor and it's listed as 415 before tax and DROS. How long ago did you buy?

I just picked up a used 590A1. It is the plain jane version with just a bead front sight. The only additions I am thinking of adding to it on down the road are a side saddle and possibly a speedfeed stock.

590A1 goodness:

Set up to "Repel boarders"!:

Prior to getting the 590A1, I had converted my 835 Ulti-Mag into an HD shotgun with the addition of an 18.5" barrel, a mag extension and new forend. Now she will handle (7+1) 2-3/4" or (6+1) 3" shells or (5+1) 3-1/2" shells. I think it makes a great companion to my 590A1....

The "Lads":

"Here's looking at you":

I believe Knoxx makes that stock. It allows to adjust the stock length and greatly reduces felt recoil.

I personally want the Knoxx folding stock for my 870.

if im not mistaken, that is your basic, run of the mill, ATI collapsible stock kit from ebay. heres my experience with the different adaptors, take what you will

if you want to reduce recoil in heavy loads and have a decent setup, buy the knoxx. it is fairly priced and does the most to reduce the kick from higher powered loads.

if you want to reduce recoil in heavy loads, and have an outstanding setup, buy the mesa tactical stock adaptor, enidine shock, and stock & pistol grip of YOUR choice. its alittle more expensive this route, but the design is more modular, allows for more options, and heck, it looks better.

if you want just a basic setup that wont break the bank, and your not too worried about alittle jiggling in the stock, or reducing the recoil in powerful loads, then the ATI is decent for its purpose.

here is an example of my 590 with the mesa tactical stock adaptor, standard A2 grip and 6 position stock.

I picked up a 590A from Big-5 in October for $250 It was basically $300 out the door but still a helluva deal.

I have a folding stock with pistol grip and shell holder that is supposed to be here tomorrow. I'll get before and after pics and post then...
