Q:
Can I get targets and ammo(7.62x39) at the park?

I live in LA and I don't know many places around here where they sell guns stuff. Only the gun shops in Burbank .

+1(Tentative)
Yes they have ammo and targets at the office. You should call to confirm the 7.62x39 ammo though (see above for phone).

Bucklenose-

Thanks for the info, and adding me to the list. I've convinced the Wife, so if you don't mind, make me a +1.

See everyone on Saturday....I'll have a small table, few chairs, easy-up, small BBQ, and a small cooler....plus a few guns to pass the time with.

Just throwing it out there, does anyone have a front sight tool that will work on a 1942 mosin round barrel? If someone does and could be bring it that would be great

Btw, would it be possible to do a quick round robin first name intro after the safety briefing? That way everyone get introduced? Just a thought since it's kind of been a left and right side thing recently.

I have a front sight tool for a Mosin Nagant M91/30 I keep in my range bag. If you have a penetrating oil like Kroil or even WD40, try to soak the front sight where it dovetails into the barrel. Those can be hard to break loose since it's been stuck there for decades. Once we get it moving, it will be a breeze. But getting it started can be the tricky part in my experience.

I"m still new to firearms. I plan on taking an AR15. First time going to a shoot-n-que as well.

I know this is really late, but would anybody be able to help me out with checking headspace on my build?

I don't have any 5.56 go, no-go gauges, so I would actually need someone with 5.56 gauges to help me out.

I feel like this is a big favor to ask, but if somebody could help me out that would be great.

Thank you.

Did you buy the AR-15 or upper half of the gun new from a reputable dealer/manufacturer? They would have headspace gauged the rifle at the factory, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about it.

If you pieced the gun together, IIRC, the barrel nut locking into the barrel itself is set in a way only when the gun actually does headspace properly, otherwise the nut won't lock into position. From what I've heard, I've never really heard of headspace issues with any AR-15s, but that's just my personal experience.

Thanks! Just greased front sight and wrapped it. See everyone in a few hours!

Thanks for the info. From what I've read/seen Palmetto state armory is good to go.

I bought the upper as a complete upper from PSA. It is a blemished upper but, from what i know, is just cosmetic blemishes/errors. Functions as it should.

My bcg is from aim surplus. This one right here. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.as...up&groupid=723

Thanks everybody.
