Default How much is my Yugo Capture K98k worth?

http://imgur.com/a/FTXQL#0

Bought this a few months ago, and wondering how much the thing is actually worth.

Yugoslavian capture K98k. Bore is mirror bright. All the Nazi markings have been ground off by the Yugos, but you can still see some Waffenamts on the stock.

How much did you pay for it?

That's what it's worth.

I sold one a few months back for $400-450 very good overall condition, excellent mirror sharp bore, with Nazi markings on bolt and reciever.

The Yugo 98k that I see nowadays do not have the original sight hood and cleaning rod.

I would pay less than asking without those two items.

It's a real WW2 German 98k with it's own unique combat history. Yugo and Czech capture/reworks have long been undervalued and underpriced but as the supply dries up, folks gain a Zen-like awareness and enlightenment about these rifles, and January 1 approaches like Leeland Yee and Tray-mor-on's drug-crazed bastard son jumping out of the bushes to pound your gun collecting face into the sidewalk, I don't think $400-$450 is unreasonable.

These rifles are awesome, if you don't have $800+ to spend on an "authentic k98" then you can't go wrong. Plus these rifles add their own little part of history on top of once being a Nazi fighting weapon.

I'd pay up to $400 if the stock doesnt have the lined out number. It is amazing how much they shoot up when they still have some chickens on them.

pre-panic was about $250. Now it's about $350-400.
