Default cleaning the FH

kinda annoyed when hard to tell if some dirt on the patch (on a cleaning rod) is from the barrel or the FH. do y'all scrub with a tooth brush (or equivalent) the FH and maybe a qtip on the inside? i was thinking... point barrel (unloaded) downwards... spray brake cleaner. that way, none of the brake cleaner make it down the barrel for any teflon buildup. maybe a q-tip near on the most inside part/around on the muzzle

then i go about my way on cleaning the barrel.
