Hey all, figured I'd post here in the Sacramento area instead of CCW since this is more of a local question.
I heard that they are going to be setting up metal detectors for admission to the Cal Expo fireworks show. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I really hate going anywhere I can't carry and I don't want to have to run back to the car to stow the handgun as I would rather not bring it than run the risk of someone breaking in to the car and stealing it. If they are doing scans at the gates, do we know if they will allow CCW permit holders entry with the handgun? Thank you all. And have a great Fourth of July! |

They wand at Cal Expo to get into the Fireworks seating. Some people just stay with their car and watch the show, bbq, drink, etc...

Just thought I'd mention, loaded firearms on CalExpo grounds will never be tolerated unless your police. The only reason they still host the gunshow is because they make a good dollar on it. Ive worked there for a few years and they always stress, "No firearms on your person or in your car if its on CalEx grounds, permit or not, same goes for ammo. You want to keep a legal gun in your car, then park it off of the property."
Actually they were alert for IEDs and such during the fireworks and at fairtime. |
