Default TAVOR 18" & 16" barrel + extension

I have a TAVOR with 18" barrel and I installed this FH from MFI and it pass 30" OAL. For TAVOR with 16" barrel, MFI have longer version of same FH design for AUG A3 should works.

http://mfiap.com/i-14171575-mfi-hk-g...18-barrel.html

TAVOR and AUG A3. You can see FH/extension on AUG A3 is longer.

TAVOR 16" barrel with MFI 4.75" extension, OAL is about 30.25"

Forgot to add. Please share some photos of the entire weapon. I'll definitely get one if Riflegear or Atlantic start getting them. That or I'll just wait until I'm in a free state in 3 years and order one.

$2550. I got it on GB from an out of state private seller. Average price on GB is about $2500. Here is one for $2250 in 18" barel, seller is very CA friendly.

Very nice OP. It looks like it was made that way. I can't remember the numbers, but I think you can get away with a muzzle device that's 3.25" or longer. I notice your MFI is 3.875". Did you find anything closer to 3.25"?

MFI extension is 3.875" but added length is 3.25" for TAVOR 18 it needed about 2.5" added. There maybe some shorter extension out there, Michael at MFI may produce a shorter version if enough demands for it.

Quote:
NOTE: Even though the overall length of this is 3.875" part of that is the threads. As you can only count the threaded area once (threads of the item cover the threads on the barrel) the total ADDED LENGTH to any weapons system's barrel would be about 3.25".

I ask seller to strip the rifle and ship only receiver to my FFL. After the transfer, I installed BB and extension myself.

Does the muzzle brake need to be pin or weld permanently to meet the "30 overall length in California?

No need to be permanent as long as the barrel is at least 16".

That is one nice set you have there. Major jealously here, congrats.

Sorry to necro, but isn't the AUG barrel LH threaded? Or did you pin your FH /extensions on?

MFI sells same type of FH in 1/2x28 thread.
http://mfiap.com/i-14171575-mfi-hk-g...-x-28-tpi.html

If you have 16" barrel TAVOR get this one with 1/2x28 thread

Do you have to drill the Tavor plastic to install the BB ?

or does the BB screws dig/bite into the Tavor plastic when you screw them in ?

Doubt it. Maybe only by the fact that the barrel extension allowing more powder to burn, just like a longer barrel does. The extension is a solid tube without holes. It is not advertised as neither flash hider nor brake/comp.

On the Prince Bullet Button model, no drilling is needed, but the Allen set screws does bite into the plastic as they use existing holes. The fit is so-so. The screws don't go all the way flush, so some will have to be shaved shorter.

Any comments on the trigger pull? I've also read about a simple sear spring mod that reduces the trigger pull to just under 8 lbs or so. YouTube has a few mod videos.

Even after the spring removal technique you see on YouTube, the trigger is kind of mushy in my opinion. It has a long reset, much like in stock H&K handguns. But this is on an unfired gun.

There is definitely room for an aftermarket trigger here.

Raddlock Tavor http://www.riflegear.com/p-2424-raddlock-tavor.aspx

it replace factory mag catch. use supplied tool of a flat head screw driver to open the Raddlock then release the mag.

Prince 50 BB is a cage, like AK BB.
