Default T.Rex Sidecar opinions?

I was thinking about getting one of those sidecar holsters from t.Rex arms for ccw.

What are you thoughts and opinions? Pros and cons? I can't try one on and all sales are final so any input would help.

Dont support child soldiers.

Real talk, **** that guy. He (falsely) claims he trains military and swat, then turns face and calls them lazy, gets called out on instagram, backtracks, and then gives some asshat lazy insincere apology where he fluffs his own ego further and misses the entire point of the internets outrage. Of course, people forget once the next controversy happens (see: patmac).

Furthermore, his entire business was bankrolled by his pops. Who actually makes these holsters? Certainly not lucas botkin, hes too busy displaying poor use of cover and concealment by running around a perfectly level and groomed range with gamed drills. Speaking of which, hes a Botkin. Theres a legitimate syndrome named after his family (google: Botkin Syndrome). His family is one giant cult where theres implied incest, as well as female family members coming forth regarding abuse and being treated as lower beings. They cant work or anything without permission from the dad, even though they are adults in America.

Screw him and screw his family.

Not this particular iteration, but I've tried a holster with a similar lay-out in the past and didn't like it. The mag/flashlight/whatever tends to get in the way of drawing and re-holstering the firearm. When I first tried it in the typical strong-side hip carry, I reflexively grabbed the mag instead of the gun!

I usually avoid holster questions, cuz I figure you'll eventually end up with a box of them in the back of the closet like the rest of us.

my buddy runs his holster and the dude runs it hard. So far so good. To be honest, kydex is kydex.

I have a similar style appendix carry like the sidecar I got from a gun show.

I like it, but you do need a slim figure. Lol

No way it works with a gut

Why do you want your mag pouch integral to your holster? That type of design just eliminates any positioning you would otherwise be able to do for comfort.

Plenty of companies make appendix holsters that were specifically designed to be appendix holsters; Phlster, Dark Star Gear, JM Custom Kydex, Custom Carry Concepts. Buy one of those guys holsters instead.

I dunno bout the sidecar, but I carry my g19 with surefire xc1 and spare mag in a T5 custom kydex hitchhiker. Love it.

Super helpful. Since you've been running it, do you find it comfortable? Can you bend over? Sit in cars, etc?

Dont know much about the Lucas guy, but I ordered his Ragnarok holster on the advice of this guy who appears to be some kind ofactive duty AF spec ops type and has one of the best "tactical" channels on youtube IMO.

The ragnarok is pretty legit. Satisfied with purchase.

I ordered something similar from Last Line of Defense for my G42. Only difference trust I can see is it only has one belt loop instead of two like the Sidecar.

I love it! Very comfy for all day Carry and doesn't move around like I feared it might. I was originally planning on getting this one and then the sidecar but now I'm thinking of just getting a second of these for my G19

I can drive with my Holster all day. No discomfort whatsoever. Bending over I do notice a small bit of discomfort but that's only if I'm like crouching all the way down to the floor to tie my shoes or something. There's no way to place anything in the appendix position and move like that without discomfort and anybody who says there is is full of ****. Given that biological reality, this holster is fantastic. I've taken it on 3 mile hikes now without any discomfort as well as several long road trips and dates and it's never been an issue.

Alright so I just got it. You have to adjust it to your body (the height) but it's actually very comfortable. Here's a pic . I'm not the slimmest guy and my chub wraps around the holster and pistol nicely - no sharp edges and it doesn't hurt. Very comfortable sitting down or driving. It does not dig into my skin at all while sitting.

I'll wear it a bit longer and give a full review.

Hahaha good advice. You can adjust the holster to decrease printing tremendously. It feels very comfortable -- including bending over to put on your boots.
