One of my liberal and apparently rabidly anti-gun friends posted this article on Face Book this morning with the comment, "Great, the NRA will have a field day with this."

I called her on it. Perfect outcome - elderly homeowners unharmed, home-invader caught & arrested, no one died. What exactly did she want to happen? Homeowners killed or injured? I realize some will say that they'd prefer if the home invader was killed, but I own a gun to protect myself and my loved ones, not kill people. Just found it interesting that anyone could have that reaction to a such a win-win.

There is no value at all complaining or analyzing or reading tea leaves to decide what these bills really mean or actually do; any bill with a chance to pass will be bad for gun owners.

Let us simply oppose them all - write, call, attend meetings with legislators and tell them they're wrong.

The details only count after the Governor signs the bills.
