Default You can install iOS7

Just installed iOS7. You do not need to be a developer.

So far so good! It's different but I like it.

Very cool, thanks for the tip! I'm downloading as I type.

Are you able to access the App Store or log-in to iCloud/iMessage?

Yup. So far everything (including iRadio) is fully functional. If you need help installing it let me know

Tips: Make sure you are on latest OS (6.1.4), I recommend you do a fresh restore. Once restored, use "update" and select the ipsw for iOS7.

Give us an update on the battery life, with iOS7, when you have a change to play with it.

So far this is it. But the final version will be not be released for another 3 months, so it is unclear what will change.

If you are running iOS 7, you can update to beta 2.

New Siri Voice, voice memos. A little less buggy, but still buggy.

Podcast app is still broken

And iOS 7 is available for iPad now...running on my iPad mini and working fine. A little buggy, but hey, it's Beta 2.

Lorax3, my podcast app works fine...I'm glad, too. I use it daily. Hopefully Beta 3 will straighten it out for you!

Isn't Verizon still on CDMA? Sprint as well? I think only AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM, for the 4 major companies.

Battery life is still worse than iOS6. Even on beta 2. That being said, I installed the beta the day it came out and I wont be going back.

There are a few of my apps that don't work (mlb, ebay, Nike+), and the camera for mobile deposit in my primary banks (Ally) app doesn't work. Wells recently fixed theirs.

It will be a good update when it's finished.

The problem with the newer updates is they also download "Government Applications"

in iOS5 they added under Settings-Notifications - "Government Alerts" In iOS5 they added "AMBER alerts" and "Emergency Alerts" iOS6-7 added "Presidential Alerts"

These "Government Alerts" were NOT asked for and impossible to Delete.

I am reluctant to upgrade iOS because of the unwanted and unremovable "Government Applications".

Did you back up before upgrading? If YES then just do a Factory reset and reload the latest iOS.

WTF are you rambling on about. Spread FUD much?

These "Government Alerts" you are referring to are only Amber and Emergency Alerts, both of which can be DISABLED.

There is no such thing as Presidential alerts.

You did not follow instructions. You're only recourse at this point is to put your phone into DFU mode and do a factory restore from iTunes. glockman19 doesn't know what he is talking about on several fronts.

Once you have the phone restored back to ios6 you can redo ios7. but follow the instructions on how to install without a registered udid this time. Also keep in mind that all of your iCloud backups from ios7 aren't backwards compatible. So should you decide to go back to ios6 in a few weeks or a month then you will only be able to use an old iCloud backup from today-ish (last ios6 backup).

Yes, there is such a thing: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2420547,00.asp

The only alert that users can't technically opt out of are "Presidential Alerts," which are exactly what the phrase sounds like – alerts issued by the President or a designee. That's one of the caveats of the Wireless Alert and Response Network Act that established the national emergency alert system starting in 2006.

Thanks. About to go shooting - so having a great day.

The way your post was presented was very FUDish. Referring to these alerts as "Government Applications" which they are not. They are one way alerts, 2 of the 3 can be specifically disabled.

Yes, I was wrong about the Presidential Alerts and I apologize for jumping down your throat and sticking my foot in my own mouth at the same time.

If it's 3rd Gen, you probably want "iPad 3rd Gen WiFi + CDMA iOS 7 Beta 2"

If it's 4th Gen, you probably want "iPad 4th Gen A1460 US CDMA And Rest Of World GSM iOS 7 Beta 2"

Check your model#!!!

Please don't post torrent links folks.

1) iOS7 IS buggy, all sorts of stuff is not functioning property and it's not for the average user. if you are unsure where to download it, you probably should not be installing it.
2) Although it's not a movie screener, this software is copyrighted by Apple. As such, please do not post torrent links from 3rd party websites.

You mean Jitterbug?

Guy at work bought one for his wife. Says it's got two buttons: dial and hang up. No numbers. Press "yes/dial" and an operator will help you call the person you want to talk to, and stay on the line until you've gotten connected and through any voice-mail mazes.

I can't believe calguns allowed this thread.

There is currently no legit way to install ios7 without a developer account. If you put one of these copies on your device you run the risk of bricking it. There are many sites out there that claim to be offering ios7's that are bogus. Besides that if Apple finds out that you are using ios7 from a non developer account they have the right to terminate your apple ID account.

Yes there are ways to put ios7 Beta on your devices without a developer account, but none are legal.

If you really want ios7 just pay the $100 developer fee and download away.

Not to mention Betas don't work as well as the final products. There are glitches and not everything is offered. They are already on the 2nd beta version. The first one sucked.

And yet there isn't a single documented case of this either. The fact of the matter is that the method to install beta releases without having your UDID registered has existed for at least the last 2 major iOS releases. If Apple wanted to close that loop they could have done so VERY easily. All Devs HATE that this is possible because all these wannabe kiddies and "hackers" install beta software and then ***** and moan in app ratings, email to devs, and all over the internet when something doesn't work. Yet Apple leaves this SSE of sorts open.

BTW. I have a paid dev account.

I agree. I am just amazed that a thread like this is allowed on this forum. Post something like this on a tech forum and it would get deleted. Encouraging people to download software that they shouldn't isn't right and is not legal. I could care less what people do but you'd think this forum would be more responsible. If this same type of ethical conundrum was gun related it would be deleted instantly. Instead an actual mod posted it, lol.
