Default QD scope mount for AR-15 with Maytech BUIS

Hello all. I've got a Maytech B.U.I.S. mounted on my AR-15 20" flatop. I'm looking to get a scope, either the Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 3-9x40mm or the Nikon M-223 3-8X32 BDC. I need to know what scope mount to get that will give me clearance over the Maytech B.U.I.S. I've been looking at the both the American Defense Recon-H Quick Disconnect or the LaRue Tactical Mount QD LT135 both either in 30mm or 1" depending on what scope I choose. Has anybody got this kind of configuration. what scope mount should I get. Please give you recommendations.

Thanks

Take a good look at Bobro.

Clearance will depend upon the diameter of the occular end of the scope. The Nikon looks a bit larger in diameter than the Leupold.... I run the Matech on the rear of one of my RECCE builds in conjunction with a Leatherwood CMR in a Burris PEPR QD mount. The Burris mount puts the scope about 1/8" higher than the LaRue LT-104 or ADM RECON mounts, and ends up with about 1/16" clearance with the lens caps in place on the Leatherwood. The Burris mount is pretty solid, although not as well made as the ADM or LaRue mounts. I have run it for about 2 years now without any issues.

+1. No adjustment needed. IMHO they are one step up from LaRue.

I'm still wondering why the BUIS is affecting mount choice. I would prioritize the mount over the BUIS. If the BUIS don't fit, get a different BUIS.
