I think we're the first location to get the showing confirmed!

Tustin is the next closest at the moment. I think they need around 14 more.

I'm glad I bought my ticket last night. There were only 8 seats left after I got mine.

Is anyone planning a get together either before or after the showing? I would prefer after since I will be coming straight from work to make the showing. An event afterwards would be great for having discussions about the movie as well.

San Francisco screening for 7:30pm, June 20th reached the minimum pre-ordered tickets. 69 seats available for the screening to fill up the theater... Quite a drive from San Jose, but South Bay folks sold out their screening really fast....

Well done, folks.

Now can someone plan an "post-film" event? I'm not that familiar with San Jose, but a sports bar always works well (assuming the NBA finals aren't playing).

I'd do it, but I'm attending the Burbank screening.

FYI

I am waiting for my son to tell me if he is working on that date. I will know by late afternoon today if he is going to use the tickets or not.

I have several inquiries to buy the tickets from me. The most convenient will obviously get the tickets for this showing.

Now that i am an official scalper... a premium will be charged..... J/K

Might I suggest the BJ's near Apple HQ in Cupertino? Normally it is ridiculously crowded, but by the time we all get over there (around 10 PM or so) it should be pretty quiet. It is also open until midnight on Thursday which is another reason...

I was also thinking Harry's Hofbrau, but it is only open until 11 PM.

I'm willing to help organize...would anyone be interested in coming to something like this?

Oh wow, I guess they are adding a second showing at the same time?

116 left.

I'm not sure. The Sacramento showing has been "sold out" twice already.

I'd think they are moving the screening to a bigger theater...

I think they would announce it if they were going to move people to a second screening.

So are people allowed to go to the ticket booth at the theater and buy tickets if they still have tickets available?

I haven't been to that BJ's in a long time, but don't they require valet parking? That is something I generally avoid.

There are quite a few restaurants either in the same parking lot or across the street. One of those may be a better option, since many of the people at the showing may not be familiar with the area. I don't know their hours, but I remember a Red Robin, Mimi's, Chevy's, a buffalo wings place and a pizza place. There are probably other options close by that I didn't remember.

That BJ's does require valet parking...there are a few other places around but I don't think they are open much past 10 on a week night.

Aside from meeting at an actual bar (which I'd be okay with) we could hit In N Out or some place more casual, with lots of seating/space and guaranteed to be open late.

Of course, there doesn't seem to be too much enthusiasm for a meet afterwards unless I'm misreading this thread.

I'm thinking the enthusiasm is dampened by the lateness on a school night ...

I would certainly agree.

As someone whose commute to work begins at 5:30 AM every morning, I can sympathize with this...

I feel ya! My commute is roughly the same but in the opposite direction. The end time of this movie is a little past my bedtime but I think I'll make and exception to see what my donation dollars helped to fund.

Default 1 ticket available for "original" screening this Thursday night

Now that the theater is selling more tickets I guess I can't charge the $50 handling fee :-)

Seriously, face value $12 ...

First come, first served (and think, your ticket # will be a low # collectable

PM for details (I sometimes don't get a chance to see my PMs until early morning or after work)
