We'll have this in the bag in no time! I'm checking my schedule and if all goes well, I should have a party of 2-6.

Just got a ticket. I'll be in Carlsbad/Encinitas area and would like to hitch a ride with somebody and hit Casa Don Diego's afterwards to meet some fellow CG'ers. I should be getting off work around 5:30 on the 20th

PM's on the way to a few of you who offered rides

Thanks for the kind words,. Also, im glad you guys are coming, just remember, we need to buy those seats, so going forward, im calling out to all calgunners in North county, put aside the small inconveniences and join us, theres at least 2 or 3 people offering carpools or even free rides, and im sure you will all have fun at my place, so help out the cause and buy some tickets!

Wait till you have to drive out of state just to get yourself a box ammo, thats gonna be a real deal breaker.
This is peanuts compared to that, isn't it?

Haven't bought a box of ammo in years, not concerned.

Hopefully this isn't the wrong place to ask what may be seen as an outlandish question but how well spent is any calgunners time seeing this movie? We all obviously are against any new regulation on our rights/sport/hobby, but what good does this movie do for us? Instead of buying tickets ourselves, shouldn't we be buying tickets for people who we know are on the fence/anti gun? From what I have read on this sub forum, the assaulted movie is being marketed towards the wrong people. Please correct/inform me if I am wrong. -Chris

I didn't watch the promo Chris, I had the same concerns and concluded you could gift a ticket to a friend "on the fence" but I'd rather gift a ticket to someone I know will appreciate it and learn a few things from it.

I suspect little directly, but I'm the type that would enjoy a beautiful afternoon in Poway for the 2A meet. You may not have read some of my other CG posts, but I'm a staunch patriot.

This administration, worst ever, is carving away your liberties faster than you can count - and is setting rules in place to make that loss even faster.

I see a positive in this, spending time and getting to know local like minded citizens. I fear the time will come that this small unity will become overlooked.

Reloading components may not be safe either.
On the other topic, i may be wrong but I would hope that if we fill up this one time viewing, then the theaters will consider playing the movie for a short season at least?
If that happened then the movie would automatically get more exposure to the general public.

I realize it may be difficult but it would be nice to standardize on the Don Diego's visit either before or after the movie. I've seen posts indicating decisions to do both. Heck maybe there will be enough interest in a combination event to have a group before and a group after...

Good point Swamp! I'd prefer a pre-movie plate of something yummy.

For those traveling; what works best for you?

Obviously, I can be there for both , but being that the movie starts at 7:30pm, we need to either make that a rushed dinner at 6pm or a late dinner around 9:30pm when the movie ends.
So, post your preferences guys!

Horrible horrible choice for the San Diego location... Reserved for Rancho Cucamonga. At least I can visit Bass Pro and Honeyville. First world problems.

You asked for it, and I am trying to deliver. This is going to be a semi-official event/meet n greet. The link is http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...9#post11538769 and I prompt you guys to post in there and add yourselves to the attending list if you are planning on showing up! I think we can get a little more exposure in the San Diego thread and help this movie really sell out!

Great job SD, you only need 4 more seats in the next 3 days to have the screening....take a friend to the movie.

Since this is undoubtedly going to fill up, are there more seats available or is it capping out? I only ask cause that's my birthday and although I have thrown out the bait I fear I won't know if I can make it til last minute.

When one of the other screenings filled up, another 20 seats become available. I assume a similar thing will happen here, but no way to tell how many additional seats there are.

As evil would have it, I have a hot date a mere few hours drive away and have upgraded my theater seat to something beside the campfire.

I'll catchup next week...

Hey, a guy has to get his priorities straightened out now and then!
