Are you taking your own .223 if so I might take mine. I'm just not comfortable leaving a RAW in the trunk of my car in Inglewood if they won't let me shoot it.

I haven't been to LAX Range in a long time, do they still have that weird rotating security can thing for handguns? So I should bring my hand gun in a different case and put it in that thing, and just carry in long guns in the normal door?

They still have it. But I haven't seen them actually use it.

I can't recall the last time they made me use the "trap" door.

Side note....it's finally Wednesday. See you all tonight.

I am going, (after Hermosabeach invited me) and have a few new shooters/non calgunners/non NRA members interested in getting into shooting as well. I will be the one with the funny accent...

No, they don't use the trapdoor. Yes, I've bringing about 100 rounds of my own 5.56 as well as some .50 Beowulf - See you all at the range tonight!

My LC9 is in jail. Feel free to try out my Taurus PT-92. I'll have more handguns at the Burbank / SFV shoot later this month or next month's LAX Range shoot.

Bahhhh! Scheduling conflict came up.

I'll probably head into LAX 5-6pm and stay until like 7-7:30 or so. If anyone is going earlier feel free to holler at me since I will have to leave early.

I'll be shooting my AR and Glock.

*just got back from Vegas yesterday, time to plug my mags back to 10 rounders

So it looks like it's going to be a real tight fit...4-5 of their lanes are closed for construction.

Guys
I had fun at the shoot tonight

I think we need name tags with names and usernames for the next shoot.

Whomever had the Desert Eagle .50- thank you for letting me shoot that beast.

I am also glad that my Saiga runs well. That was the first test fire since I had it converted.

For the next shoot, has anyone thought about coming up with a course of fire for pistol shooting? A balance of faster shooting under a shorter time frame and some slower fire at longer distances???

Many thanks to all who came out. I had a really great time. I got to shoot my glock 19 for the first time, as well as my Springfield Loaded. But the highlight of the night was getting to put three rounds of 50 Beo through HappyC's rifle. Ummmm, that thing rules the range. And I think he has more $$$$ in his optics than I have in my car!?!?!!

Wish I could have made it out this month, but had to conserve ammo... I'm going shooting with my dad (for the first time - how is that even possible!?) and my uncle (again, first time) for father's day/ uncles' b-day on Sunday. Maybe mrsfunnybookz and I can make it next month.

I hope I can find some more ammo so I can take it out again. Thanks for letting me shoot that Saiga.

Had awesome time as always. Thanks prismo and syntax for helping me zero in my first build! Mmmm... Roscoes. Btw, several us will be going to the Assaulted showing in Tustin on the 20th if anyone wants to meet up over at the theater. Maybe we'll grab something afterwards.

Good range trip as always guys! Roscoes AAR afterwards was also very good to catch up with everyone. Looking forward to Burro on the 23rd (thanks for correcting me, pmrsino!) and all the gear people will be bringing!

Great turnout of shooters. Too bad half the range was under construction...
First time ever only firing 20rds on my AR and 20 rds for the 10/22.
Thanks to pigpen for letting me fire the 50AE DEagle! It was great seeing faces that I haven't seen for a few months.

RSVP'ed for Tustin. 52 spots left. We need to fill them up.

I'll be bringing wheel guns to Burro. For those that like pain I have a .44 mag with a 4" barrel and a .454 Casull.

Short summary of the night.

.50 Cal Smile.

Assuming the DEagle poopy stance.

Had tons of fun tonight.

Thanks so much for helping me zero my iron sights, Happy and for letting me experience the awesomeness known as .50 Beowulf.

Also thanks to PigPen for not laughing too hard at my massive flinch from shooting your hand cannon. Wow. My wrist still hurts a bit.

.50 Cal in SoCal!

Oh, and Roscoes was nice as well.

Sharing is caring, or in these cases, borderline physical assault/harassment

.50 Cal in SoCal, I dig it. We should start a club~

My previous attempt at club forming was the "Trijicon Army", but nobody else wanted to get the optics~

Heheh, yeah. My shoulder is a little bit sore today.

I'm quite sold on Trijicon. I'm debating which one to get. Likely the TA31, as it's on sale for around $900 now, unless there is a secondhand deal that pops up soon.
