That's why I was asking if it was the final list. It's over 2 hours from me and I'm in Silicon Valley.

Since it looks like it's a deal with AMC, look at http://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres#all

There will also be the TUGG list posting tomorrow or Wednesday.

That list will include many more CA screenings.

The AMC list are the screenings that will take place over the four days, not the single screening events that will be handled by TUGG.

Here is the whole post I sent to Kickstarter Backers:

Breirbart, Theaters and Tees

Here is the latest story on Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire:

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Hollywo...ulted-director

AMC and High Top Releasing have confirmed the list of opening theaters for June 20 – 23rd.

AMC Orange - Orange County
AMC Stony Brook 17 – New York
AMC Barrett 24 - Atlanta
AMC Grapevine 30 - Dallas
AMC First Colony 24 - Houston
AMC Arizona Center 24 - Phoenix
AMC South Barrington - Chicago
AMC Hoffman Center 22 – Washington, DC
AMC Sunset Place 24 - Miami
AMC Westminster Promenade 24 - Denver
AMC Alderwood 16 - Seattle
AMC Barton Creek 14 - Austin
AMC Deer Valley 16 – SF Bay Area
Phoenix Dos Lagos - Corona, CA
Carousel – Greensboro

We need these theaters pack each night to get a nationwide release of the film. Please get everyone you know into one of the theaters listed above to see the film between June 20th- 23rd.

There are also events being posted to TUGG.com and you can host a screening in your town by signing up as promoter (free) and request the film be shown on a given date – note to California backers that theaters already scheduled through TUGG will be listed on CalGuns.net (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=768274).

SO PLEASE DON"T TRY TO CREATE AN EVENT -WE"RE WORKING WITH BOTH CALGUNS GROUPS TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN IN AN ORDERLY MANNER.

Swag alert: Tees and hats have all shipped. Look for yours this week if you haven’t received it yet (Again, only those that pledge for the rewards). Posters will go out this week when we can get the crew together to sign them.

T-minus 16 days until the gun conversation changes!

Can you expand on the "TUGG screenings" a little more? Is that being handled internally by you guys or is it a grassroots type thing where you need people to promote more screenings?

Thanks!!!

Can't wait to see it. I had got the email and quickly googled the location to find it was over 2 hours from me.

If one is closer, I'll buy tickets as soon as they are available!

We're working with Paul and Brandon and their teams to identify cities that we can get key screenings by TUGG. These screenings will be in addition to the one we've secured with AMC above. That list will be released here on the forum in the next day or two.

So, here is the grand plan.

If you live near either So. CA or the Bay Area theaters, please attend one of the scheduled screenings - take all your anti friends with you, too. You should be able to purchase tickets through Fandango later this week.

Otherwise, when the TUGG events get posted buy your tickets on TUGG.

Either way, PLEASE purchase your tickets as soon as they flip the switch on TUGG or Fandango. We need to sell out to get more theaters and events created. All of you will determine the faith of ASSAULTED through ticket sales. If we have a great opening weekend, the other theaters across the country will pick up the film and that is what we need to make this a blockbuster.

Thanks,

Kris

Looking forward to the release. I've posted the trailer on my facebook page and a few friends have shared it out. Once the actual show time listings are available for one of the IE locations that will carry it during the release, I will try to organize a Calguns movie night for the IE Chapter. If there are no objections I will show the trailer at my region's monthly shoot this Friday as well.

Just checked google maps. Pretty good distance from me (650 area code). I mean, if we could setup a carpool maybe....

Another thought would be to see if chief CGSSA coordinator for the Bay Area could setup a TUGG event closer to the center of the Bay...

Remember, a new list comes out in a day or two. Unless you want to attend them all, which is good too!

While I hope that the film will have a showing in Sacramento or Roseville, I will make the 1hr 45min drive to see it in Antioch with friends and family. It is inconvenient, yes, but we need to support films like these to further the message. Theaters only care about money. If you buy your tickets early maybe we can get showings in more convenient locations.

If it's not showing in your city you can set up an event here:

http://www.tugg.com/titles/assaulted...hts-under-fire

It should be expanding to more cities after the first weeks release and increased demand.

Yes, Oroville or Redding would be preaching to the choir...but Chico would be a stellar venue, so to speak.

So I wouldn't start one, I'd wait to see what they come up with.

I had never heard of TUGG before this. Pretty cool. I can't wait to see it!

I was under the impression that those of us who donated the initial $50 before the Kickstarter happened were going to be lumped in to the same group as those that donated $50 during the first Kickstarter? I can't even remember what the pre-Kickstarter fund drive was for, but I was a part of it.

Other notes re: TUGG

Quote:
EVENT QUESTIONS

Why is there a ticket threshold for the event?

Content owners (studios, filmmakers) and theaters have varying costs associated with facilitating an event depending on the day and time of your screening. The ticket threshold makes sure that all the costs are covered before the event is confirmed.
Quote:
How many tickets need to be sold to meet the threshold?

The attendance threshold is determined by the costs of the screening, so the threshold can change for each event. The threshold can fluctuate based on factors such as the film, theater, showtime and ticket price. Generally, thresholds are around 65-70 tickets.

Sign up on TUGG (free) and request the screening in your town. As the promoter you can earn 5% of the gate. Make the event an NRA fund raiser.

If it hasn't been mentioned before. I'd like to see one started in one of these areas. This would reach out to a whole other crowd not easily able to drive out to OC.

Default Good or Bad to Buy Tickets and NOT Attend?

I contributed twice to help this film get made and I hope I can make a screening. At this point I'm not sure if I will be able to make it to a screening but I am willing to purchase some tickets to boost the sales numbers. This is a bad thing if there are people who want tickets and can't get them... but it's a good thing if all the tickets are not sold.

Do the organizers have a comment on this idea???

It looks like they are trying to also show it in Tustin. Ive already picked up a ticket for that location. If they don't get the head count they need, I will be watching it at the Orange location.
