You can only eat so much zucchini, might as well use it for targets.

If I make it, I will bring mine. I am sick of zucchini!

Good to hear, and welcome!

Pete, we all appreciate your sense of humor. Who else rocks a tactical pillow?

You should post that pic of yourself that should have been an album cover.

I don't care what anyone says, you are Sharp.

The line..." take long showers, write appeals" is from PEE WEES big adventure. Is that the one where he looks for his bike? I liked the biker bar scene. Good ole' Paul Reubens.

For the shoot: how about a Hand Gun Bump Fire Competition. I have a stop watch, how fast can you unload 10 rounds? Win a date with the brass lady.

I think I may win that, we shall see though....

Anybody have a high quality electronic stop watch? I've (well, my father) have a 1950's aviation stop watch for navigation, and it's real accurate but it's stopped and started by a person, so there is a large margin for error there.

I can win that with the ruger mkII.. hehe won't say how though.... involves a paper clip. (note, do NOT DO THIS unless you like visits from very mean men in body armor).

You would be surprised how fast a 1911 can fire with a Wilson Combat 10 round magazine

Dang, we need a high speed camera so we can see how fast people are actually firing and pulling the trigger! That would be so cool

That does sound nice, a good camera recording us speed shooting a bunch of handguns.
Not saying I will win, but, I am in. I'd like to dump a mag or two from one of my pistols. I might even have my glock by then, I will need to break her in.

Hey, someone help me out here. I am applying for me C&R FFL, item #9 asks "Position and
Social
Security
Number"
What the hell do they mean by position?
I posted this in the proper thread, but no one is answering and this is kind of important to do now.

You only need to pull the trigger once when you paper-clip a Ruger MKII.. it's bad juju. Fast as hell and a very good way to melt a bullet in the barrel!

It is not how fast you can empty a mag. It is how accurate you are with those shots.

For position you need to put "Kebab Remover".
If they ask you why you want an 03, write down "To Remove Kebab".

Thanks guys. Next question:
Item # 15.
Signature, Title, and Date.

Do they want a Mr. for title? What do they mean by "Title"?
Whos title? Whats title? I dont want to put the incorrect thing and be denied for something so trivial.
Ah, apparently it is the same thing as position, from my earlier question... Jeeze.
I found a guide.

I've given this speed shooting/empty the mag competition a little thought.

Start with pistol on the table, timer says "go" and stops the clock when the pistol is back on the table.

Round Count: .45's have an 8 round mag, one in the chamber = 9. Nine would be a good place to start. I like ten, but we don't want to discriminate against those 1911 lovers.

My camera makes videos, how about recording your 3 seconds of fame?

1911s only are we just limiting the round count in the mag?
Also, what is this Brass Lady?

That's my .36 Navy copy on the next table, behind the snap shooter of gnarl. And my can of Crisco, I might add.

Not the fastest trigger puller, but I'll give a shot at accuracy shooting with the AR's

That would make a much more meaningful contest. Especially since rounds fired vs. hits is the butt of many disparaging remarks, mainly when discussing LE shootings.

Contests are about fun, not always "meaningful" things
Also: why does it matter to us that LEO fire a lot of shots and hit very little? We aren't LEO

If it is this hot I am not sure I will go. Right now it is 12* hotter than hell in my yard by actual measurement.
That is too bad as I had some extra bayonets and cammo clothes which have hardly been worn and do not fit this fat body anymore I was going to bring to sell.
