Nice gun, thanks for the pics and write-up.

Can you explain why .38 Special cannot be fired in a .357 Magnum Korth?

The cylinder / crane assembly can be easily removed from most DA revolvers by simply removing the crane retaining screw.
While this does require a screwdriver, it is easily done.
The button release of the Korth is a nice feature, certainly it is more expensive to make this way than using a screw in a threaded hole.
But that's the point behind the Korth anyway.

Korth revolvers are precisely made and they do not recommend shooting .38 Special from it. Unless, one shoots them from cylinders made specifically for either 9x19mm or .38 Special.

As for the easiness of cylinder/crane assembly, there was a member here, who claimed to have more than 40 years of experience of working on revolvers, stated that it could not be done without special tools. I had to make a my very first youtube video in order to shut the person up. The link is in the first post of this thread.

congrats. luckily a french manurhin isn't too hard to find vs the korth... found 2 or 3 at a good price in the time it took me to find an early production DW.
