Default a collection of beetle's guns and history threads

Hi.

over the past couple of months I've gotten requests to link people to various threads that I've written over time. I guess when the forum upgraded it's software the search index was lost. So people can't find stuff but remember I might have written about a particular topic. So this is just a summary thread with various interesting threads and keywords. I hope it gets re-indexed so that people can find some of my older material.

Very nice reports, especially regarding the Gold Cup National Match model. I consider the Gold Cup, especially the older models, to be the finest handgun ever produced by Colt. I've owned several over the years.

I'm not trying to be a nit-picker but I would like to offer a correction regarding your reference to 'Ellison' sights. They are actually "Elliason" sights, and though no longer offered by Colt, they should be.

You are the King Of Calguns. You or Technine lol. I loved those threads, probably most memorable threads of any gun forum. When they would get updated, I would get so excited.

Beautiful firearms. I am an absolute history nut this stuff is right up my alley.

I had the privilege of chatting with Beetle recently. He is a shining example of what Calguns should be. He has knowledge, he is willing to share, and is nothing but helpful. His thread should be a requirement to read before you start posting on Calguns. Even if 1911's are not your thing, this gentleman is showing you how to successfully share knowledge in a friendly and concise way. This can be applied to just about any topic here on Calguns.

BTW Beetle, Thank you again, the auction has been a smashing success.
