180 yards = 164.52 meters

When a friend of mine rented that bay a few years ago, the range staff told him it was 180 yards, which sounds about right to me.

Anyways, put me down for bringing carne asada. It's still three weeks away but I can't wait to shoot there again

Yeah, I'm with you there! I might try to bring some Korean 갈비 "Galbi" if I can wrangle some by then.

Definitely a fun range trip with little hindrance from the peasants on the public range, or annoying range officers!

I'm there often enough, I'll try to make it. Its the best paid range in SoCal...

I saw something I've never seen in my life at Burro Canyon yesterday... About 12 P.M. while the pistol line was hot, two dudes in their 20's decided to walk down range.

I doubt they will ever come back as much crap was spoke to them and around them about it. lol.

I'm in! This will be my 1st time. Been wanting to take my daughter's out for their 1st range day. I'll bring my 3 burner propane stove with flat cast iron griddle along with either fixins for either BLT's or Tacos!

Mmmmmmm....

If you bring some Galbi any idea on a side or something I should bring? I'm still trying to figure out sometime to bring.

With my Culinary skills, sometimes not bringing anything is actually a gift to us all!

Would a 2 burner propane Camping stove get any use?

If you're still down on bringing your EZ-Up and chairs, along with coolers, I think that should be sufficient!

Never had too much ice. Interesting idea though!

As for drinks, bring what you both like, that way they won't go to wasted if you need to take the survivors home.

Look forward to meeting you both there, BuckleNose.

Default Appleseed Project

If things work out as planned, we will experience a rare treat of having the Burro Canyon designated instructor for the Appleseed Project in attendance this event. as_rocketman has signed up to attend this month so all you folks that have been hearing about Appleseed for years, will have the opportunity to ask all your questions.

Riflemarksmanship thrives at Burro Canyon with as_rocketman, penny dad (if he stops by) also an Appleseed Project instructor, Burro Canyon has experience galore. Don't be shy, ask and 'you shall receive' all the information you could hope for.

Please, just remember 'rocketman' needs to sight in a few of his babies for next month's Appleseed Project KD at Burro.

Ive noticed last time a few shooters had clay targets. Anyone know where I can get them? I went to Turners Pasadena yesterday and found none. Haven't gone to big 5s yet. Know any other place?

Walmart usually has them. That's where I buy them.

Big 5 also has them...if you forget, Burro Canyon usually carries them...when you're checking in just look over your right shoulder...

A big appetite....

Take a look at post #2. BuckleNose posted pretty much who's coming according to their responses in this thread and what they are bringing.

I have an Outer's bird thrower and the better part of a case of birds. I'll bring it and maybe get some suggestions on how to mount it on a lazy susan platform w/ a camlock for another time.

It sounds like we have enough EZ-Ups for a tent city but I will bring mine. I will bring my 5 gallon cooler for water as well. Plus, I'm going to bring my CED Chronograph. If anyone wants to see how a new load or hardware is performing, they can try it out. I'll have a price list for replacement parts handy.

My kids are "taking" me to Burro Cyn for Father's Day and that will give me a refresher on the layout. It's been over a year since I've been there.

This is the 23rd, you know, not the 16th. Father's day is the 16th.
You can still do it, one way or another, just don't be one week off.

I got you. Last Father's Day, my daughter took me to Angeles. This year, all three of my kids want to go. Since it was a bit of a zoo there then, I suggested we go to Burro instead. I won't mind going two weekends in a row. Happy Father's Day everyone.

I have a case of clay birds sitting in the garage so I'll bring that as well. Good reason to dust off the Wingmaster, too. I think it gained C&R status since last I shot it
