Default Recommend me an extended flash hider for a scar 16s

Hello,

I don't wish to pin my stock. What are some good extended flash hiders I can use instead?

Howmuch extra length do you need on the 16? I'd imagine it's close to the 17, which isn't much. Less than 2" IIRC.

Too lazy to measure mine, but looking online with the stock folded it looks like length without flashhider is around ~25 inches.

So you are going to need muzzle device that will add around 5" inches... Not many normal muzzle devices that add that kinda length...unless you get those designed to add length like from usmachinegun which has extended flashhiders.

Personally I would rather pin the stock then add a extended muzzle device on my scar.

As much as I would love to fold the stock on mine, I'm not sure I see any value in the "cut off the bottom of the blanket, sew it to the top and claim its shorter" approach.

But damn it all to hell the 17 is so close when folded!

Moses on falfiles built me a custom length vortex for my 16 inch fal folder. I think it set me back 65 bucks. Don't expect a quick turnaround but if you have time like me, it was well worth it.

You could also go for one of those fake cans. Those come in all sorts of lengths.

Magpul pts makes a fake can for the airsoft blackouts, I'm wondering if one would interface over a real blackout with a MITER mount.
Could be an easy to way to gain a few inches that doesent require removal of your FH (assuming you have a blackout) when you are tired of looking like a tool
