By the way, if anyone wants standard type logos such as the CalGuns logo, EGA, Navy Jack, Gadsden Flag, etc. I already have that artwork on hand and ready to engrave.
If you just want Fire/Safe engraved and no other text, I will do those marks for a $8 flat charge.

Thanks again!

Do you have "Pew", "Pew Pew Pew" & "No Pew" instead of safe and fire? This is California. LOL. Sending you a PM.

Does anyone have pictures of these lowers with an upper attached? I'm not a big fan of the buffer tube area being angled instead of round, but if it looks alright with an upper attached I'm in for one.

Also, this may have been covered already but is the hole for the bolt catch roll pin threaded or standard?

I have an ASA upper that I can go grab and take a shot of in about an hour.

Here are the key features of the TR Lowers:

Threaded Bolt Catch Pin Hole
Threaded Takedown Pin Detent Spring Hole
Oversized Trigger-well To Allow For Gloves
Broached,Flared and Beveled Magwell
Receiver Ships Blank WITHOUT Any Images, Logo’s, Serial#, Model, etc.
Vibra-Polished to remove all burrs and prepare for anodizing

I hope that helps the cause sir.

Great info, thanks Charlie!

For the threaded areas, does it also come with the hardware or are we on our own to source those?

EDIT: Also, looking forward to the pics... if you could get one close up of the buffer area and one of the whole rifle that would be perfect, thanks again...

Thank you sir.

Your lower will arrive in a foam sleeve for protection. Inside the sleeve you will also find a bag containing an allen wrench, two threaded hex plugs and one bolt catch pin. Need to cut about 1/8-inch off the rear detent spring to ensure a proper fit. I recommend using a little Hoppes moly lube on the threads to keep from damaging your aluminum lower with the steel threaded plug. It will also help to prevent galling. I would use on the bolt catch threads and the takedown detent threads. I always have some with me at the machining days if you need some.

Just a quick heads up...

There is no pricing on 308 80% lowers yet. I hope to have that info the first week of June.

There is also no 7075 info available. I promise to release the info to you guys as soon as I get it. I will put a new post and update the first post of the thread.

Thanks,
Charlie

2 Questions:

1. total price for 1 non-anodize, w/shipping & online payment: $94.55?

2. total price for 1 non-anodize, w/shipping & paid by money order: $74.45?

Thanks.

Good evening chowsta,

You partially correct sir. Here is the breakdown:
1a. Paypal payment
Lower $67.50
Shipping $6.95
Paypal fee $2.01
Total $76.46

1b. Credit card payment
Lower $67.50
Shipping $6.95
Credit card fee $2.38
Total $76.83

2. Money order
Lower $67.50
Shipping $6.95
Total $74.45
(While this option looks lower, the cost of the money order, envelope and stamp make this option more expensive unless you are buying multiple 80% lowers).

Please note the following shipping prices:
1-3 pcs @ $6.95
4-10 pcs @ $9.95
$9.95 per 10 pcs thereafter

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Charlie

It the factory pic is one that I altered to remove the fire/safe markings. The new lowers will not have any markings from the factory.

The second image is the same gen 1 lower that has been bead blasted. While this isn't exactly what a vibra polished lower looks like when it comes out of the tumbler, but is very close.

I was assured that actual pics are coming over within 24 hours, but I figured these pics will get you guys a taste of what is to come.

Good morning CalGunners,
I hope that everyone enjoys this day of remembrance. While you are grilling up your favorite foods today and sipping that ice cold beer, please take a moment to remember those men and women who died serving in our armed services. We have a lot to thank them for.

Have a fantastic day folks!

Thanks to everyone for your patience. Here is a pic of the new gen 2 lower straight from the production line. The lower on the left is the gen 2, the right is a gen 1 used as a reference design for QC.

While it is not finished, it gives you the complete outline of the new design and has been tumbled so that you can see the new finish.

Thanks again!

Thanks guys for the pm's. I am almost through them all. I hope to be caught up by 8:30.

This group buy is still open guys. I am still waiting on a LOT of payments to come through.

Please see the blue text in the first post for ordering instructions. I will reorganize the OP by tomorrow so that it is easier to understand.

Thanks for all of the orders. I look forward to shipping those bad boys out. I will reconfirm delivery dates by the end of this week.

Charlie

Good morning all,

This group buy is still going. It keeps growing by the day. Thanks everyone for making this such a successful rollout of the gen 2 TR 80% lowers.

I did add a picture of the new lower in process as compared to the gen 1 lower. Please see the OP.

When placing orders, please use the BLUE text located near the top of the OP as your guide. Once you send me that info, I will process your invoice via Paypal and send it to you using their system. This can be used to pay directly online. Or, if you are paying via Money Order, please include a copy of that invoice with your payment.

Thanks again!
Charlie
