I will be there again. Figure +2 or so. Last few months had been fun, and E1 sure is a nice big range.

Arr! Memorial weekend came up short on schedule, and looks like I've been drafted to fill that Sunday. Sorry Gents, looks like I'll be missing this one. Have fun, y'all.

BTW, what happened to the SGV subforum? Socal being such a big place, I think it's nice having a nice little place for the locals to hang out.

Cheers,

-d

OMG!!
I'm freakin' out!! The SGV section disappeared!!
Actually, I'm joking.
Buckie already said don't freak out as it would disappear.
I guess they splintered too much, so now they are consolidating some. I guess. I don't actually know.
I believe I will be at Burro, East 1 on the 26th.

Put me down for tentative. Is someone going to bring a propane grill or anything? Or should we bring only pre-cooked food?

Please don't shoot the cans. The mess could be difficult to clean up. The range should be left cleaner than when we arrived.

For me plain old coke does it.

Pretty much just about anything as long as it's not metal, explodes, glass or is considered trash.

Some stuff I've used for target's besides the paper:

Bowling pins
clay pigeon targets
plastic water bottles (Please pick up the bottles and dispose of them in the trash afterwards)
Fruits, melons, veggies
String tied to tennis/golf ball's so it's suspended
Spent 12 gauge hulls (this will test your accuracy)

I still have no idea what I should or could bring as contributory edibles.
I thought about ice cream bars, but without some type of mobile ice box, I couldn't really do that.

Bring whatever you want. Pizza, Chicken, hot dogs, salad's, cookies, other desserts, chips and salsa are just some of the ideas.

If you cook and have a favorite dish that's pretty easy to make I'd say go for it if you wanna show off your cooking skills. Or if you wanna spend hours in the kitchen slaving away at the stove for a magnificent dish that's a labor of love go for that too.

A lot of people. Plenty of food.
No fights, no injuries, no problems, all in all just a good time.
If you weren't there ... you missed it.

David, are you the one who was waiting for his friend to show up? He got there a half hour after you left. He stayed to hang out for a bit and said he's try to make the next one.

I also had a great time as I got to see old friends and make new ones as well. And thank you to the guy who loaned me his orange square to shoot at. It really helped keep shooting my BP revolvers fun after the fruits and vegetables were gone

First time at Burro for me. First outdoor Calguns shoot and hopefully won't be last.
Met new cool shooters and a few familiar faces from other shoots.
First time expending ≈200rds 5.56.
Rifle bags figured to be great cushioned mats for shooting prone
See y'all again next month!

Sorry I couldn't stay long and meet people. I had to get back to our Women on Target event. Hope everyone enjoyed the sandwich platter.

Yes, that was Larry I was waiting for. I got a message from him that he did get there later.
My phone doesn't work out there.
I had one of the Subway sandwiches. Thank you to whoever brought those.
