Default Why get Nevada CCW if you're a CA resident ??

I've seen a few posts in threads here about CA residents going to Nevada and taking a CCW class. What's the benefit if you don't live there?

My in laws live there and we do visit a couple times a year so I am interested

The people that are frequent travelers or visitors to Nevada and the states that allow NV. CCWs do it, even if they are stuck in CA.

^^^this, if I were a frequent visitor to any state that allowed CCW, I would attempt to get in that state.

So when you visit that state or any reciprocal states you can carry.

I got my NV CFP about 10 years ago, in order to conceal carry while im in NV.

Use to go 4-5 times out of the year for buisness.

Ah I see, well we fly there and don't normally drive so I would normally not bring any of my firearms there.

I guess I can bring one to store there to carry when there?? or ...

I assume you couldn't CCW someone else's pistol? one of my Father in law's?

Uh. You can take a firearm via plane. It just has to be checked baggage.

I almost never fly without a gun. Or two. Declare and check it in locked hard case and you are good.
