Default AR15 magazine lock?

Forgive me for not being up to date on all the different CA legal mag locks and bullet buttons.

Does a mag lock exist that makes your mag unable to be readily removed, even with a tool, period? Meaning you have to pull the rear takedown pin to load the rifle.

Second question would such a setup make your current AR legal and not have to be registered IF SB 374 passes?

Dude, if guys start setting their rifles up like I described "they" will find out about it anyways.

I also doubt SB 374 will pass, but that is another topic.

If you want to go to that lenght then have a metal 10 round mag welded to your lower receiver.

https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/ar...-ar-56864.html

this is the closest thing to a "welded" mag I could find. Requires upper to be flipped to remove.

Don't do that. You want the mag to have some play in it as designed. You also don't want to weld the aluminum in a magazine to the aluminum in a lower (assuming you are even using a lower with 6160).

Welding isn't magic metal glue.
