Default CZ SP01 ???

I have not seen a single CZ SP01 any where in Ca ever and I was wondering if anyone has been lucky enough to find any locally?

Thank you!

interestingly enough, I saw a SP-01 and P-01 in the glass casing and guess what, I bought them. You could try Targetmasters in Milpitas. That's where I got mine and they seem to (or at least pre-panic), have CZs fairly regularly. You can also check Triple AAA's in Vallejo.

I saw a SP-01 at Fine Firearms in La Mesa Saturday. Would have bought it but they wanted $829 for it.

That price might be worth it since they're really hard to find.

Try TargetMasters. I was able to purchase my CZ 75b and my SP01 from them. I got lucky with the 75b. I walked in and they had just put it out. The SP01 I special ordered and received it in about 3 months. You got to check often because as soon as they get them in, they're sold.

Riflegear has them in stock occasionally. I've personally looked at a SP01 and a 97B that they had in stock and like a moron I didn't buy them on the spot.

They are on the roster so if you found a store out of state that had one that was willing to ship to a CA FFL then you might be able to get one that way.

I believe City Arms in Pleasant Hill and Pacifica has CZs and sold a couple SP-01s recently. Unfortunately they don't have a real website and don't post here as a vendor, so I've just called periodically or hopefully someone from CG will post when they see something in stock.

Thanks for the tips I'll keep looking, and $829 kind of ruins the whole point of buying a CZ....

Those things are impossible to find. I happened to stop by a local shop one day about 6 months ago and randomly asked the sales guy about one...his response was he had 3 inbound on the UPS truck. I paid for one immediately. I should have bought 2. I hope you find one, they're pretty sweet. If I run into one I'll send you a PM.

Also, while $829 is a lot...if you want it badly enough it may be worth picking up. It's not like they're too easy to find as it is.

Youch!! That's $200 more than I paid for mine a year ago.

For me, the whole point of buying a CZ is the superb accuracy and ergonomics of the gun itself. the fact that they are (or used to be, now) so reasonably priced was just icing on the cake.

Fact is, even if I had (over) paid $829 I would still be happy with it, and the sting of that extra cost would be gone by now.

That is pretty high though, and even so I'll bet you it's not there very long.

I am personally a huge fan of CZ's, but I find a lot of my South OC dealers don't carry them. All the CZ's I own to date were all ordered from the factory and shipped to my LGS. I find that is the best way to get it done without having to wait years or continually checking for availability.

Got mine at Bain and Davis in San Gabriel. Entreprise in Irwindale has had quite a few different models in the past 3 months.

Absurd. That really provides motivation to go visit them. I think Parallax and turners are the only places that still sell handguns for legitimate prices.......in San Diego anyway.

Ya, for a gun that is slated as a $660 MSRP on the manufacturers website.... $918 OTD is ridicilous.. hope it had night sights for that price. Just one month ago my 75 Omega w/3 mags and night sights was $618 OTD, and that included SSE....

Think I paid around $735 for mine a little less than a year ago. Worth every penny. I had a two tone compact that was prettier for sure, but the SP-01 excels in every other category. They are very hard to find, so if you see one, grab it.
