Maybe he should have called the police and not used his firearm. Then they could tag and bag someone else other than the criminal...

Sadly, sometimes there's a price you pay when you save yourself with a gun.

He prolly saved one or two other people by his actions.

Hope someone hires him.

No one else in the store knew it, but Smith carried a concealed Glock pistol. He knew Dollar General’s policy — no guns allowed on the premises — and his carry permit had expired.
It's too bad he lost his job, but that was a forgone conclusion. He still did the right thing to carry and the police seemed to have been happy he got the guy.

Default Does anyone know where we can send this guy a donation?

Does anyone know where we can send this guy a donation?

He has earned one but instead has been punished.

How dare he be forced to hurt a criminal who was threatening his life and the lives of others by the criminal's own actions!

Really surprised he wasn't charged. Doesn't surprise me one bit that he got fired. Usually stores that have normal workers not family have a no weapons on site policy. Glad he shot the bad guy and didn't get charged. Who cares about the crappy minimum wwage job. The publicity will enable him to get a decent job.

To be fair, the way liability claims, insurance carriers, and attorneys/courts work they have little choice but to enforce these illogical policies. It is the system we have in place, and for most companies to survive - they must act accordingly to the ocean they swim in, or sink.
