#1. Weekends are best, but after 6:00pm during the week would work depending on location.
#2. If the meetings are on the weekends, any time. If they are during the week, after 6:00pm. #3. Pizza works. The Toppers Pizza on the corner of Janss Rd. and Moorpark Ave. in Thousand Oaks has a large, separate dining area in the back that would probably work. I am also open to all suggestions. Here is the address for Toppers Pizza in Thousand Oaks. 1416 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks 91360

I'd prefer weekday afternoons in South County or weekend mornings in North County for a breakfast meeting. But, that's just my preference. I do remember attending a Calgun's town hall meeting at a pizza joint in Ventura several years ago. So, I know one possible place that has been accommodating to firearms enthusiasts in the past. Then again, Camarillo is a little more centrally located. My wife remembers a Round Table there that has a big room that her son's little league team used to use. My friend's wife is an event's planner at the Ojia Valley Inn. I can always see how much it would be to meet there. Then again, I'm too cheap to chip in for that.

I'd be interested. Weekday evenings are good for me. Pizza works for me as well. I'd be open to a nominal membership or meeting fee, perhaps including the cost of dinner as long as it's not too much $.
I have experience reloading .38 spl, .357 mag, 9mm, .380 auto, .223 and 8mm Mauser, all on a single stage press. I know a little about boolit casting, but all that gear is at a buddy's place near Torrance. |

I'd love to be a part in this. I live in santa clarita, which though is technically LA county, ventura county is closer and probably more convenient. plus, my folks live out that ways.
me: I've been reloading for well over 20 years. I have a dillon square deal and an RCBS RS (kind of the step below the rock chucker) single stage. I load 30-06, 6.5x55, 9, 45, 38/357, 44. love to join in on the fun, and help out if possible.

Count me in Tactical, as long as I have at least a weeks notice for the first meeting. Me & Ed's Pizza in Camarillo isn't too crowded and have some private booths toward the back if we have less than 10 people. And if we make it the right night/week night.

I have already replied, but wanted to give more info. I have no experience in reloading at this time. I have been investigating and purchased the Lyman 49th edition and Lee Modern reloading manuals to start educating myself. I have also ordered and received Lee 40 S&W and 45 ACP 4-die sets and have been saving brass. Interested in reloading 9mm, 40, 45 ACP and 45 Colt + possibliy 25ACP in the further is it appears to be worth it. My scheduled is somewhat flexible so I am open to the suggested meeting times.

Sorry for being 'late' to the party. I have been reloading for the last few years on a single stage, rock chucker, and a progressive, Hornady LNL. I reload 40, 45, 5.56 and 308. I am a few parts short of building my own high volume stainless media tumbler. I also have an old MEC 600 for shotgun that I have never used. I have shown a few very close friends the basics of reloading.
For those of you interested in getting started in Reloading your going to want to get the ABCs of reloading. It's a great book that really helps grasp the basic and some advanced concepts of reloading. While the reloading books by Lyman, Hornady and RCBS are good reference books for load data the ABC covers the details of reloading better. Club wise I am very interested in joining. Like any thing else there is always more you can learn on a subject, I have no problem helping others too. Weekends work best for me. Love pizza. Can meet nearly anywhere in the county.

Camarillo is only about 18 minutes away for you. Only about 18 minutes away for Ventura and Oxnard folks too. We are definitely as mid-county as you can get, not bad for east or west.

Tactical,
Saturday afternoon, pizza and Camarillo works great for me. Me & Eds or Toppers, only about a half mile apart although Me & Ed's pizza is far superior. Toppers is great but not filling so you end up eating a lot of slices whereas Me Ed's is a better deal so you don't have to buy so many Pizzas.

Weekend better for me, afternoon, but with 2 kids and a wife who isn't so happy with my "new hobby" actually GETTING time has been a bit like unicorns. I like pizza T.O. where I live is at the far end of VC, probably not the best town for a meet, so I'll leave the suggestions to others. |

I think y'all should meet out in Fillmore so I won't have to drive so far LOL. But, TO, Cam Oxnard of Ventura will work for me. I don't want to have to venture out to Oak Veiw or Ojai though.

1st lesson should be how to process and clean 5.56/223 brass, I'll supply 1000+ 5.56 LC empty brass "primers crimp" you can take over Tactical Plinker.
Count me in, I have handloaded my own ammo since 2005 mostly 5.56, 308 win 7.92x57, my work schedule changes daily. I have not lost an eye or finger, I'll say I'm doing something right ![]()

Hey, just found this thread. I have no experience reloading but I'm very interested in starting in the next few months. I'd be down to hangout and learn from you guys, and I'm always ready to go shooting. my schedule is weird and my days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday evenings and anytime Tuesday or Wednesday are best for me.

Bumslie told me to chime in here and said you need some space. Would this work?
Either upstairs in comfy carpeted offices (1500 sq ft) or in the warehouse below I have 1000's of feet of unused space. The upstairs is completely vacant and has 2 offices, one of them would be great for storage and is lockable, it has 2 bathrooms and a coffee bar, etc. If the upstairs would do the trick you could store and lock up any equipment and supplies in the offices and leave them there. We don't use it right now, just sitting empty. It's in Camarillo, right off of Pleasant Valley. Upstairs-C-Bar.jpg Upstairs-Office-Doors.jpg Upstairs-Windows.jpg Whse-01.jpg
