Anyone have any real opinions on Windows RT based on actual experience?
I've got a 7" tablet with Jelly Bean on it, but the charger is shot and new ones don't seem to be too available. I've got a line on a pretty decent deal on an Asus 32GB tablet with Windows RT and the keyboard dock. I've got an i7 laptop, so I'm not looking to replace that. I'm looking for something that I can do some writing on (yes, I know tiny keyboards - I could type 90+ wpm on an EeePC 701). I like the fact that I can get real Microsoft Office on it for full compatibility. I'm not looking for a tremendous amount of gaming capability, mostly just reading eBooks, typing, email and web browsing. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have the Asus vivo tab smart with windows 8..... it has some similarities, but it is different.
mine - battery much better than any laptop I have had email client sucks.....I hardly use it and just use gmail in chrome. I don't think you can get chrome on rt, but not sure. the stuff made for rt/touch seems to work nicely and though I really loved windows live mesh, skydrive is turning out to be nice. I thought the rt version of office was missing a few things |
