Default ******Here are some hints to Governor Jerry Brown's gun control agenda in 2013*******

Start listening at 2:32 to hear Brown's intentions; he clearly states that there is more gun control coming to California.

Here's another...Brown states that he supports the reinstatement of the fed assault weapons ban at the very minimum

He gets quite offended in this one when the journalist asks him why California is no longer the leader in things like gun control.
Jerry Brown and gun control

I won't hold my breath...this joker will most likely sign ANY gun control bill that makes it to his desk. He takes great pride in having the most strict and oppressive gun laws in the nation.

I can't believe some people here think that he would actually veto any of them.

JB will probably veto some. But I think we all agree that there is bad stuff that he will sign off on.

And no, I certainly did not vote for JB. I thought it was a bad move for a variety of reasons.

But for those who did? His opponent didn't exactly inspire confidence that she would be even as good as JB on the RKBA. JB at least had a track record where he'd done some good things for the RKBA - she had essentially no such record. So while I disagreed with the vote for JB - those who voted for JB because he was better on the RKBA were being reasonable.

IMHO, there was no reasonable way that anyone who had acquainted themselves with his record could have been pro-RKBA and voted for Obama. Those folk were deluding themselves. It may have been an honest delusion, but that's about all I can say for that. JB wasn't in the same category.

I fail to see the point in studying JB's motives.

Lets say he does veto these bills-every single one.

His successor will not.

That's a promise as certain as the sunrise.

January of 2015, but it's very likely that his replacement will be Gavin Newsom. Newsom is a gun control fanatic that just might be worse than Feinstein.

I don't see the point of looking at what he said in the past and trying to predict what he'll do. He's a wild card. He'll probably veto some things and not others. He may have some hidden rhyme or reason but at least he doesn't just pass everything that hits his desk.

He is most likely better than his replacement will be in this regard.

If he does not sign them he will demonized by the Left and demonized by his own party and his career will be over.

Buy all your $h!t now cause it's not gonna get any better. It's like you see the train coming but you just can't get off the tracks. People say all the time move. You just can't convince your spouse were moving cause of guns. I have alot of time at my job. My vacation time and pay. My pension to just throw away.

I agree. Things are bad and getting worse in this state. In five years, what little is left of our gun rights will make us look back at 2013 like "the good old days".

Anyone that wants gun rights that even remotely resemble "rights" should move the f**k out of CA.

I don't think he cares. He's ancient.

I think he will sign some, veto others. I doubt he signs them all; I doubt he vetoes them all.

Here is my input based on various letter and emails. Jerry doesn't give a rat's a** so those of you who think he is gonna veto anything have something else coming your way. I am not saying this to be mean; I just wish you'd wake up and realize he is no friend to 2A.

They're all commies. As they gain more power, they show more of their communist leanings. Liberal just means commie-embryo.

We will never see another Governor of California who is a friend to the Second Amendment. Anti-gun is job security for this state's politicians.

They don't. These bastards are going to pass everything and figure the courts will decide it. Besides they have time on their side. It'll take us years to fight and tons of money and what do they care. They have the state coffers and they'll get what they want anyways as they'll just keep harassing us to death.

For pretty much every reason stated here & a few more I'm getting the f*** out of here. It's past time to stop paying these idiots salaries with my tax dollars. California was lost long ago & this is just the straw that breaks the camels back for me. Feinstein, Pelosi, Boxer, Newsome, Villsraigosa can have this S*** hole. How's that for a who's who of liberal commies. Jesus Christ, that doesnt even begin to cover them. Need any more of a reason? Not me.

Just wrote to Brown. Sent many letters to state and representatives. Joined NRA, Send $$ to CGF and CRPA.

Seems like a waste of keyboard strokes and calls but it has to be done. If I have time to browse Calguns.net I have time to write.

Neither can I. Moonbeam will sign anything put in from of him in regards to gun-control. That's what CA gets when you reelected a 1970's liberal governor.

Good choice. Many people in CA will be felons soon enough, with all the laws you have and will soon have, in effect when the libtards get though with you.

Think of it as a strategic retreat, unless you like the idea of a prison cell in your future. Let Moonbeam and the liberals have CA. It's over with folks and you lost.

Life's too short to not be happy about where you're living. If you're young, I'd ask what's stopping you as uprooting as moving gets more difficult with each passing year as you settle into a work and life routine. But if you're in a nice community with a good job and good family/friend support systems I'd think long and hard about leaving that.

Here's a positive spin on California and guns. If you live in a county where it's easier to get a carry permit you have something that's impossible for a non-Californian to get (at least so far), and you can get permits from all the other shall issue states that issue to nonresidents including Oregon which only issues to residents of bordering states. And many of those counties are really beautiful places.

No they have not. The most that has been said about Jerry is that he is not as anti gun as some other people - just a matter of degree.

And for those of you who are convinced that Jerry will never veto any anti gun measure don't know your recent history, because he has already done so.

For goodness sake, instead of continually knocking those of us who are on the same side, even though we may differ on whether Meg would have been a better choice, stop wasting your energy on the past and concentrate on making sure that next election offers us a better candidate.

Or, if you must attack your own sort, attack the ones who kept saying "But Obama has never done anything to suggest he's anti gun!" There, I would have more sympathy.
