Default fellow countrymen, listen and redistribute! Mike Vanderboegh speech in CT

Brought a tear to my eye thinking about how brave our forefathers were standing there in ARMED civil disobedience in front of the British at Lexington Green. Smuggling everything they needed "against the laws of their time", regardless of risk. So while we prepare legal briefs, write letters, etc, let it not be forgotten that it will come to a point where they will only listen to our actions, not our words.

DEFY, EVADE, RESIST.

**share it with your friends, but more importantly your enemies. Let them know what they have poked, and keep poking.**

Great catch OP

Everything he said is true, and he's got the true patriot spirit, but what about the rest of us, can we do it?

"Civil war is staring us in the face".

Yep, it is.

Fortunately, the federal senate blinked, at least for now. Maybe they realize what's staring them in the face. Not likely, but possible.

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.

America was founded by men who refused to take ***** from tyrants.

Such a time is here once again. Let us all take inspiration from Mike's words, grow a backbone and stand up against tyranny, in all of its forms.

Gun nut? Nah. Believer in armed protection of ones self and family? Oh yes.

Some in-law moron in my family called me a "gun lover", followed by "I don't like gun lovers" and "the real heroes are people like him who served in the armed forces".

I said, "what's worth fighting for if not the constitution"

Followed by crickets.

People can label me a gun nut or gun lover all they want, I love to shoot guns and train my accuracy and they're also a good tool for defense. I'm not a crazy guy just because I have guns, I just like to target shoot, plink and have enough fire power to defend my wife and kids from anything bad happening to them. Off topic I know, but since I saw a few posts about people calling them gun nuts and gun lovers, I just had to add my 2 cents. I'm a gun nut and proud of it and it's my right to be

Powerful speech.

Let's see if the authorities take the bait in regards to 30 round mags and
crates of ammo being "smuggled" in. The laws are unconstitutional, and will
not stand scrutiny under our current SCOTUS.

If however, SCOTUS was to allow the nullification of the Second Amendment
to continue, (for what ever reason, for example, one of the Heller 5 is replaced),
then we are one step closer to the reality of increasingly violent civil unrest or
even the horrors of civil war.

This is a reality I fervently hope never comes to fruition. We need to use up
every single box of liberty before we open the last one up.

I watched it, liked it, agreed with it, and thought about posting it to facebook...

Then I decided it came too close to line for me to disseminate WRT being active duty.

But... did I mention that I really liked it?

this speech really is amazing. This bring a tear to my eye thinking about all the sacrifices made in blood, sweat, tears. The blood of patriots ran thick in the 1770's and its mind boggling that they fought against unbeatable odds.

I hope if the day comes I will have half the courage our forefathers had. For the future of my children and my childrens children.

I like that a lot! good to hear. Don't have to pass it on facebook, but could email a few friends or just forward to a connecticut news station like I did.

The "mainstream" needs to realize what they could be causing.

Default Disturbing.

If the current trend is not reversed, we could see some ugly results.

It is my fear that someone or some group of people will cross the line, then all hell will break could break lose.

That rogue cop Dornier and those Boston bombers showed Americans exactly what they would be up against when the police are chasing them down for "terrorism".

Let's face it, standing up to the government would mean we would be considered "insurgents" and with the expanded powers under the Patriot Act and the NDAA, expect a trip either to the morrgue or Gitmo.

Mike Vanderboegh may be advocating non-violent protests, but based on our own history, things could spiral downward quickly.

I don't know if our opponents are ignorant , arrogant or both because it seems to me that they are provoking people enough that someone may cross the line.

Mike makes a great case to why we must get involved now because the alternative is potentially another Civil War.

An uprising against the government is exactly what our opponents (particularly those in government) now want. The reason is that such an uprising would give them the excuse they need to slam the door on what remaining liberty we have left. Their purpose is to exercise power.

Back during the 1700s, such a thing would be foolhardy, as the relative strength of arms favored he who had the greatest number of soldiers on his side. Today, it's not so foolhardy after all, because those engaged in rising up against the government would have to have a thousands to one (or more!) advantage in numbers to make up for the disparity in strength of arms, and that's with an armed population.

Because such an uprising is almost certain to fail, the end result is almost certainly going to be that the republic we know will be reduced to cinders and replaced with an oppressive, authoritarian government -- precisely what our opponents (particularly those who currently wield power) want. After all, it works for China...

I dare say that the population in California and other such states will welcome such a government with open arms. After all, we clearly have too much freedom right now, and the state is far better able to make decisions for people than individuals are. Why else would they continuously approve of the passage of ever more oppressive laws?

Civil War? No such thing.

The vast majority of the pathetic boot-licking creatures that call themsleves Americans today love taking it in the azz and will run, bleating the slogans of subservience, to The Beast's defense.

Vanderboegh is an idiot.

I thought we were responsible gun owners; now he's encouraging us to be criminals? Who here is going to fall for his dog-whistle call?

The only sheep are those that worship at the altar of Vanderboegh. He's challenging the .gov to come and get him; he needs to watch what he wishes for.

I guess John Hancock was wrong to smuggle things?

Did you skip over the part about unconstitutional laws not being law?

[QUOTE=Doheny;11192087]Vanderboegh is an idiot.

He doesn't lack the courage of his conviction! Someone willing to defy the imposed will of anti constitutional laws is the absolute definition of a patriot and is the reason for our freedoms and way of life today although those freedoms are being taken away right in front of our face. Thanks to the 1st amendment you have the right to say that Vanderboegh is an idiot. Will you have the courage to defy the government if they take away your 1st amendment right? Do you have the courage to defy the government if they slowly take away your 2nd amendment rights? If that is what makes an idiot I'm happy to be labeled as such also!

Doheny has much vested in government. He's a fireman, married to a police officer. Don't expect much support in tearing down the foundation he's standing on.
