Good Morning Fellow Reloaders,
I have a Lee Loadmaster and have issues seeing/confirming powder charges while running the press. I need some sort of press light that will shine down into the case after it has left station 3 (powder charge) and sits at the next station. Do they make some sort of small, mountable light that can be attached to the press to achieve this? If so, what have you all been using? I can't be the first one to deal with having to use a flash light to confirm powder is in the case. Thanks in advance.

I use an ikea cheapie LED flexible lamp, I don't use the base, but it is ziptied to my press. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20169658/
The flexible neck allows me to shine it to other parts of the bench that I need light if I am working on something, brass trimming etc.

Dan at Inline Fabrication can make anything you want. I use his skylight on all my presses.

At $10/ea, I bought 2 when I went to IKEA so I wouldn't have to ever go back there (a labyrinth of crappy furniture). The second one will likely sit in its box new for a really long time. Highly recommended.

I like the skylight. I'd have to drill the center out in my turret to be able to use this on the load master. I'm gonna check his site out..

I don't have a pic of my Pro 1000 ATM but found these to work pretty well and are a cheap option. I glued a magnet on them so I can position as needed.
http://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Strip.../dp/B002QQ1YOM Just need to wire up to a 12v power supply walwart and you're in business. Since you're nearby I'll give you some if you're interested in trading for a few SRP's. ![]()

I went with this for my lighting need. I can move it anywhere i need to. And it only cost me 5 bucks at the swapmeet. I wanna say this falls into an old drafting light.

I went to oreillys and bought some of those white LED strips they have for stupiding up your car.
Cut each strip down to 3 leds, and used the included mounting tape to affix it. The strips come with a "Demo" battery pack and switch, which I left intact and use until they run out. |

I like to be thrifty, i picked up a reading light at .99 cent stores. they have a small battery and can be clipped on to the pages you are reading. I used a magnet and it clibs on the press and can be moved to whichever press I am using.
