Default 80% build parties in Sacramento?

Anyone know if there are 80% build parties in our area that use push button CnC mills?

I would be interested to know as well. In fact, there are a bunch of folks here in Napa looking for a close location to complete their 80% paperweights.

I'm new to the whole 80% lower concept, but I like the idea of building my own. (among other advantages)

I'd be interested in a group build to share expertise.

Does anyone have suggestions/preferences on 80% paperweights? There are many makers/styles & jigs available.

As far as I've read, the ATF deemed that the cnc "rental" being offered by manufacturers of 80% lowers made the company an arms manufacturer, requiring all kinds of fun gibberish for compliance. You can still buy and finish 80% lowers yourself.
Do your own digging, it's all on this site.

and its not illegal. if you mill it, build it and keep it for yourself it is legal to own it. sounds crazy but true. learned that at sacramento black rifle today.100% legal and 100% untransferable.

I just went and finished an 80% lower down in rio Linda at a guys house. Really cool guy he can get you the lower an you can finish it there. The lowers are blasted too, so they are nice and smooth!

I have the guys contact info and I am trying to get him to set up an account here because he does good work and is a nice guy. I have to admit I was a little worried going out to someone's house but I had to check it out and it was worth it!

If you want his contact info or price info you can PM me an I will give you his number and name.

Completed 80% lowers are legal to transfer like normal lowers so long as you put some sort of serial number on it

Cheiftan, Colts website has all of the dimensions of the lower receiver, don't know if that helps but that's what the guy used to program his Cnc when I finished mine

I'm very interested in purchasing a lower and taking part in a group build. Fired tons in the Marine Corps, but never got to build my own rifle. Challenge accepted!

Here's to hoping it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg!
