Default Who makes a good gun belt?

I've been using my regular belts for a decade and I'm tired of wearing them out. I need a few that are nice enough to go with a suit and one that is good for casual. I've gone by some of the LGS's and sporting good stores, but they have a limited selection. Any recommendations on brand and where to order them?

Thanks..

Wilderness Tactical Original 5 stitch instructors belt and the CR speed belt, thats about it for competition. CR is not legal for IDPA.

I've tried a lot, and Jerry Bissel's are far and away my favorite gun belt made: http://www.jbgunbelts.com/ and Wilderness Tactical Instructor's belt is my favorite non-leather. http://www.thewilderness.com/index.p...309&parent=142

Like at least one other here, I have a Jerry Bisell belt. Super heavy duty, custom, reasonably priced $65. www.jbgunbelts.com

Try the belt man. He makes a good stiff leather belt.

Agreed. I have 3 Beltman belts, and they are perfect. Plus, he is great to do business with, although given the increase in business volume these past couple of years, you may wait 8 weeks or more.

Quality is top notch. Two of my 3 carry pistols are SIGs (a P229 and a P220 Carry) and so aren't the lightest. But my Beltman belts are still more than up to the task.

I'm checking out Beltman because they look nice enough to go with my suits. Do you guys use the 1 1/4", 1 1/2", or 1 3/4"?

I carry both IWB and OWB depending on my clothing. Should I go with the 1 1/2" width?

Thanks guys, just want to make sure before I spend $90 per belt.

Guys, I don't think the the Wilderness Belt or similar ones will look good with a suit. The OP needs leather.
http://www.kramerleather.com/products.cfm?categoryID=2

1 1/2" is a good call.

The Wilderness 5-stitch as was already mentioned has been "THE" gun belt. Even better in titanium because of the reduced weight, but not that it matters really once you hang a Glock and a couple mags off it.

Just got a Talon Tactical Cobra and it might become the new gun belt for me once I start wearing it in.

I always use 1.5in because all my holsters have the same loop size.

Apparently I can't read, none of my suggestions will work with a suit. I don't wear a suit, so I can't offer advice in that regard

Bullhide SuperBio Belt. It looks like leather, but it's a lot more wear resistant.

Thumbs up +1 Wilderness and a suggestion for "formal" wear

Hi,

Love my Wilderness 5 stitch too, looks fine with jeans, khakis, or fatigues, but looks weird with my suit

I'd like to suggest another alternate:

http://www.bullhidebelts.com/SuperBIO-Belt_ep_95-1.html

It comes in 1.5 and 1.25 configurations, has been VERY sturdy and looks fine for dressier times. It is NOT leather, but some type of very sturdy synthetic, which might be better for certain climates (wet/humid). I have one in 1.5" and it works fine with most of my formal wear, and I am considering getting one in 1.25" for use with a Skyops holster.

Hope this helps.

+1 on this. I've worn mines pretty much everyday since I've got my carry permit. My two year renewal comes up in August. I also use it outdoors in the dirt....just wipe clean. It looks dressy...but is very tough.

CrossBreed Hoslters, but you will have to wait at least 6 weeks for a belt. Mine came in on the 6th week after calling and email for status.

I Just received my belt yesterday afternoon. I wore my full size .45 in my crossbreed for the rest of the evening. it sure made everything lighter and made drawing cleaner. the model i got was the b-21 which is 1-1/2" wide. the make the same belt in a narrower style called b-22. Havent had it long but so far, i am glad i bought it.

+1 from me, I've several from The Beltman, and wouldn't have it any other way.

I prefer a good ol' leather belt. I JUST received my new texas ranger belt by sturdybelt.com. It's custom made, black 1.5 with roller buckle and had it in my hands a week later. Made from bull hide, it's really think yet flexable.

Even better, since the owner was going to be in my area, he delivered it to my door. I spoke with him briefly about different belt styles, materials etc. can't say enough about this product and the customer service! Will be ordering the "classic"here shortly!
