How many lowers can you complete in an hour? I'm trying to get together with some buds to get an appointment for an hour. We'll be having a lot of lowers so hoping to get atleast 6 millings done. Is that possible?

Finally got a chance to swing by the site today. Just left and posting this update as I get gas.

Awesome experience at his shop today. Got in at 5:30pm and we immediately went through the steps I needed to do to complete my lower. All of my questions were answered, and the instructions were very clear with a simulated demonstration before I actually performed the work. I was closely supervised and felt really confident that my lower would be perfect. I was not disappointed.

As soon as I get home, I'll update iTrader, but until then I highly recommend OP for your lower completion project.

Met the CNCmillguy today and had a very positive experience. Instructions were clear, and I got lots of feedback throughout the milling and drilling process. He checked quality afterwards, and deburred the holes to make sure everything was perfect.

Highly recommended, and I would use his services again when I have the urge to build!

Do you have any or expect to get any forged AR-10/AR-15 80% paper weights?

Thumbs up

In one word - Outstanding.

Great educational experience while I worked through two receivers. Helped correct some issues with both units.

I would recommend and I will be going back in the future for another build.

took my Dad to CNCmillguy's shop to get a lower this morning. a very professional shop owner and an excellent instructor on the use of his equipment.
everything was by the book and legal. a tip-top experience and I recommend to anyone on calguns who reads this and might be debating making the drive.
It was only an hour drive for us, but I'd easily drive 2hrs. each way to do business with a person like this...any day of the week. Thanks again CNCmillguy.

Default Great Experience

Great guy, great overall experience.

You can walk in with nothing as cncmillguy may have in stock everything you need for a complete rifle. Or you can bring your own metal parts/receiver blanks.

You /will/ need to get your hands dirty, but cncmillguy is there to keep an eye so you it's safe, make sure you're not in over head, and that you're comfortable.

Is it far? yeah. Was it hot? yeah. Does it seem sketch in the middle of nowhere? yeah.

Would I head out there again? yeah.

Just got back from machining a lower. Took a friend of mine. This is my second time to Ray's shop. Top notch, had fun and came home with a properly machined lower. Worth the 2hr drive. Thank you Ray.

Thumbs up Awesome!

Just got done with CNCMillGuy and he is Great! Arrived early and he was more than willing to get going. Does this out of his garage, but it is set up well. Walks you through the process but has you do every step. All jigs are provided. Has great advice on how to avoid 'blow outs' on the drilling, etc. Drilling is a two-step process that ends with a reamer for a clean/precise hole every time. Clean-up tools are provided for however anal you want to be.

Good quality results (that he checks) and you are in and out in 15-20.

About 1.25 hours from Sacramento, but worth the quick drive. A walk from the Amtrak station as well...if you are so inclined.

Will definitely recommend to friends.

He also has parts for sale if you need them.

I had a chance to meet Ray for a training session on his Mill. With his great training and coaching I was able to take two pieces of aluminum scrap that I had been using as paper weights and turn each into something useful.

Ray is a very good teacher and a nice guy. He wants you to be successful with your project. You can't go wrong with Ray as your instructor.

Good to meet you this morning Ray. Thanks for getting me in early in the morning. I had my AR pistol lower all built up by lunch time! Should be ready to fire by early next week.

If somebody needs to complete their lower or needs to buy and complete a lower you can't go wrong with CNCmillguy. See you in a couple of weeks when my QD 308 lowers come in.

Just got home from CNCmillguy's shop. Awesome experience. Could not have been more simple or straightforward. CNCmillguy knows exactly what he is doing and has a very professional teaching ability. Inspired confidence every step of the way.

The best part was his supply of parts. He has everything you need to complete your lower start to finish.

I couldn't be happier with my experience and definitely plan on making another trip out to Denair in the near future.

Thanks CNCmillguy!

Default Awesome Service.

I went there earlier today. Ray is a stand up guy and definitely knows what he is doing. The quality of lowers he has in stock is also great. Bring some extra cash, he also has some accessories.

I had a chance to visit Ray and rent his mill and drill press. Ray is a very professional and class act gentleman. My lower receiver turned out perfect. He has all the tools you need and answers any questions and assists in all the steps necessary to finish milling out the control area, hammer, trigger, and selector holes. I traveled 2hrs to see him, and plan to mill out a 2nd lower within the next couple of weeks. also need to mention that he checks tolerances after words, and install a trigger/hammer assembly and selector to test the tolerances before you leave. Thanks Ray!

I rode over Saturday am for a 9 o'clock appt. Met Ray as he was getting the machine ready for operation. I will echo what Bayiron posted. Ray's insructions were accurate and precise. I will be back as the budget allows.

I must say, CNCMILLGUY definitely knows his stuff. I went with a friend today to get our 80% lowers and milled. We were done in 15 mins each. CNCMILLGUY will walk you through every step of the way so you don't have anything to worry about. Great guy and I just became a life time client. I will be back soon CNCMILLGUY. Thank you for everything.
