Default What can be done in CA in regards to mail fraud? Camarillo anyone?

It seems a guy in Camarillo, CA has been posing as calguns/arfcom members of good standing to scam some other people out of gear. Myself included.

Details here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_109/1...ser_here_.html

Upon finding this thread I:
Called Camarillo PD. Got told they dont handle that type of thing.
Called my local PD, they told me to fill out a report online.
Called the post office, and got told to fill out a form.

I finally got in contact with the Camarillo post office, and after using words like "firearm, weapon, and illegally obtaining" they seemed more inclined to try and intercept the package. So far I've not heard anything back from them.

Any ideas?

Edit to add:

Now that I've calmed down a little bit, and am just waiting on the Camarillo post office, here's some more details:

This person used jeremyoler416@gmail.com (Jeremy Oler) to register on ar15.com as "Kointel", uses this name to contact a few people, including myself.
If that didnt work, he used mdavissd64@gmail.com, claiming to be "Mike Davis"

Using the same formatting ar15.com generated emails have, this person spoofed emails to appear that they came from ar15.com from user "spdrcrgts", aka Spdrcr on Calguns.

In my case, we had agreed to trade AR uppers, and ship on Wendesday, 3/6. My tracking information shows "Out of Delivery" as of today (friday), as such, I tried to scramble to stop the package from being delivered. I'm still waiting to see if its been intercepted or delivered.

The other two guys that got taken were given the same fake tracking number, I've been given nothing.

So there's Fraud happening?!? I'd find and sue to the fullest extent of identity theft. You have his email(s). Find and send a cease and desist email.

Mail fraud/wire fraud = Feds. USPS postal inspectors. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

His address.

I believe this is their property management. Might verify who actually lives there.

Try reporting it here.

Make sure in your report that you emphasis the financial internet fraud and diversion/theft of firearm related items.

Good Luck
