Default Pirus ISI SCSA Match?

I was looking at the ISI website and noticed there is a SCSA Match for this Saturday. There is not a lot of information on the website on what is needed to so hopefully some calguns guys can help me out. =)

I would like to know if this match is noob friendly and how many rounds is needed and also what time. Any special equipment that I need to bring? I have a Holster setup that I shoot with at Deadwood boys action pistol matches is this good enough for SCSA?

Thanks!

Ditto. Never shot this match and would like to after I shoot Action Pistol on Saturday.

About a month ago I was able to shoot both Action Pistol at Deadwood Boys and IDPA at ISI afterwards and out before 2pm!

It's the Challenge...8 stages, 5 strings each stage (except one stage there's 4 strings), throw out your worst time. If you don't miss, it's 195 rounds. The draw at a challenge match is a lot more important than at a USPSA/IDPA match, since you're drawing 5 times per stage.

Do you need to squad up or can you freelance by showing up whenever (I guess as late as 1pm)?

Don't know about squadding, I've only shot the World and state Championships there.
BTW, I usually take 300 rounds with me...sometimes I miss a lot

You do not need to squad. You can go about the stages as you like.

Note: The steel challenge course is up the road quite a bit past Wes Thompson's and the Gallery Ranges.

Have fun shooting! I'll see you next week at the compact match- (I'm going to bring a couple noobs and see if they get hooked like I did!)

Ask Da Google! Da Google Knows All!

http://steelchallenge.com/

You can also shoot .22LR rimfire without a holster from the low ready.

No squads and no RO's. Usually the turn out is pretty low and a solo shooter can get through very fast. A lot of shooting and no resetting of targets (except for repainting the steel when you are done with the stage) make it very efficient.
