for the 3" XD40 DeSantis makes a affordable IWB Sof-Tuck Holster.
For a little more you can get the DeSantis Cozy Partner Holster

Galco Kingtuk is what i use for my Glock and the XD (which i'm now selling). pretty comfortable, not too expensive, and is readily available unlike the Cross Breed which seems to be on backorder a lot.
only thing i'd like better out of the Kingtuk is if the kydex had a slightly better, positive, "click" when re-holstering. |

I just switched over to the Galco Kingtuk from a Galco royal guard I've carried for the last 10yrs and I must say im very impressed with the comfort of it. I also would like a little more positive retention but other than that its a great holster for the price.

Whitehat holsters, great product plus you can change out the kydex if you have another firearm. Lots of custom options as well http://www.whitehatholsters.com

I have only tried my Crossbreed Super Tuck for my XD and it is really comfortable. After wearing it around the house and work for a couple of weeks, did I finally decided to make it one of my edc.
the Service prints a little to much for my liking, so the next project for me is to do the grip reduction mod and buy some compact magazines

Nice! Thanks for the advice guys. The thing that is hard is that everything is online there are none in stores to compare side by side.
On another note has anyone had any experience with the Desantis Apache ankle holster?

I don't have any experience with ankle holsters, but I have a FOXX iwb holster for my XDS and it has been good for the price ($39 shipped)... super simple design, comfy and very good customer service / shipping time.
The other one that I really like (wish I would have found it sooner) is from firearmholster.com - great designs. I really like that you can switch from iwb to owb if you need to. really good pricing too.... I have seen a ton of positive reviews over on the XDTalk forum. |

The N82 Tactical holster is good. I use for my Glock 27 all the time.
