Default What Year First DROS?

When did California initiate the DROS process for handguns?

But there was a time when you didn't have to DROS (ie register) private party gun sales..

So, I could see you at a gun show (or the range).. hand you cash and take your gun.

Ahh.. those were the good old days.

Private party sales were free until around 1991. Before that, there was a waiting period for new handgun sales, but long guns were cash and carry.
As librarian said, new handgun sales have been registered for almost 90 years.

1924?? That predates NFA. This state has been screwed up for almost a hundred years!
