Default MODS please sticky - list of stolen guns

Today I had my apartment broken into (I live in Pomona/Claremont area), and some of the guns were stolen. Before anyone jumps on me about a safe, etc, I admit I did not have a safe, I had a safe at my prior residence, but when I moved the safe did not, so I was in the process of getting a safe at my new location. Bad luck or got what I deserved, I really don't care what you think. I would appreciate it though if you find any of these guns for sale here or elsewhere to please report it. Thanks

Most of the guns were C&R long guns which includes:
3 M1 Garands (3547372, 3592132, 4756719)
1 91/30 (9130298993)
Mauser K98 (54956 (4142)
Chinese SKS Type 56 (2371301)
M1931 (K31 Carbine) (261326)
Remington 870 (AB712075M)
Two were registered handguns to me:
Glock 17 Gen 3 (NAD138)
Springfield XD40 (XD510006)

Gun show is this weekend. Perhaps notify the people who run the show? Maybe they can give the list to their vendors early?

Absolutely hate hearing about these. And there have been way too many recently. Yes, gun owners should use a safe, but even the good safe won't stop a determined thief with proper tools. Best of luck to you OP, hope they catch those bastards.

Sorry for your loss. Are you an NRA member? NRA provides a basic level of firearms insurance for members. It will help a little.

Very sorry to hear about this. Be sure to keep an eye on Armslist and Craigslist as well. Maybe even post an ad on those sites about these guns being stolen. Good luck.

IMO C&R guns are easy to sell... I bet whoever did it knew you or someone you know. Go over that list in your head... has someone seen your stash while doing a C&R transaction lately? Sheit dude I hate to hear about this... I just pulled the trigger on a bigger safe as I am receiving a bunch of guns from my father who passed recently.

Good luck on getting your stuff back.. this is hard to hear.

OP: given that only some were stolen, what firearms (in general terms and i'm asking rhetorically) did they leave behind? seems to me it's telling and kinda odd that they didn't take all of what you got, unless some were squirreled away elsewhere. sounds like whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing, especially if they didn't go for any other easily flippable items: tools, electronics, et cetera.
might wanna cruise your local pawn shops for the C&R long arms. the 870, glock and xd may very well wind up on the black market but i can't imagine 'bangers going for a mosin or k31. maybe watch gunbroker as well.

just think about someone trying to rob a store with a 91/30

But seriously that must be a terrible experience. I was mortified when my laptop was stolen and I had my stuff backed up.

my sincerest condolences on loosing a collection that cant easily be replaced..

I think they must have gotten stopped mid way into the heist. They left my ars, ak, lowers, mags, and most all of my ammo. threw a 91/30 to the side because it still had the cosmoline on it. took a old airsoft gun to boot. I am thinking they left in a hurry otherwise would have taken the rest.

needless to say everything has been moved offsite, back to a secure location w/ safe until I get mine out here.

They did take electronics too. Watches, money, ipad, phone chargers, ipod, sunglasses, wallets. They certainly got some good stuff, but also left a lot of things I was surprised about. It provides at least a minor way to laugh at the scum bags knowing just how much they left behind that was much more valuable. If they decide to come back for more, which I wouldn't be too surprised if they did, they will find a near empty apartment now with one pissed off resident who still has a few tools left in the toolshed...

This isn't a bad idea, we could compile lists of stolen guns and what area they were taken from so people in those areas know what to look for
