Default NRA membership for vets (need a rated disability)

I was told there was a cheaper lifetime membership available for veterans so I sent them an email. Got a response. Not posting it as a sales pitch. Beats paying full price for a membership.

Thank you for contacting us.

NRA Distinguished Memberships are for members over 65 years of age or disabled veterans. Any percentage of disability as a result of service with the US Armed Forces will qualify you for the Distinguished membership rate.

We do not require proof of disability; we use the honor system.

The rates for Distinguished Membership are below:

Distinguished Annual: $30 (as opposed to $35 for regular annual)

Distinguished Life: $375 (as opposed to $1000 for other members)

Distinguished Life EPL: $375 made in quarterly payments of $25

If you wish to join, go to: https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp

Once you are at the application under the section "Please select a term," there will be two options below, "Regular Memberships," and "Junior, Distinguished, and other Memberships." "Regular Memberships" will be highlighted in a faded yellow color; click on the "Junior, Distinguished, and other memberships" tab and you will have the option to select Distinguished Memberships.

Thank you very much for your support and please feel free to contact us if you ever need anything else!

That is good info, however the NRA is offering a $300 Life Membership to anyone until sometime in the middle of April.

Is the NRA life membership for $300 still going? I believe they extended it past February.
You should grab that one if you still can and save 75$

I think they are still running the $300 Life Membership. Also, the California Rifle Pistol Association (which has a full time lobbyist in Sacto) has a disabled lifetime membership for $220.

I haven't been able to find anything on this for a while now. I think it expired. Do you have a link?

Call them and ask.

I would call them anyways. Don't know about the posted specials but I have sponsored a couple of people over the last year or two with my membership which is life and it is either 250 or 300 for them.

I decided to resurrect this thread to update that the info and links are still good.

I had let my membership lapse for a few years, so I thought I'd look into doing the lifetime membership. The first Google search Ad link takes you to a page where you don't have any membership options. I was glad to see this page pop up a couple of links down on the search.

For you service connected folks, $375 is a fantastic deal. If you decide to pay all at once, they throw in a leather jacket. I decided to do the 15 payments of $25 a month. Leather's not in this year.
