Default IE FFL Transfer Prices

Hey guys and gals,
Does anyone know of a local place that does FFL transfers for a reasonable price? I think Wiser Owl does it for like $35 but that's kind of a drive. Thanks

I spoke with Tony at Highland Pawn. Seems like a cool dude and the $35 doesn't hurt either ;-)

Highland Pawn is now $40 including DROS but still the best rates around and awesome guys to boot. Just transferred a brand new Kahr CW9 through them from Bud's for not much more than what people are asking for a used one in the marketplace here.

interesting. I called them on the 1st or 2nd to give them the FAX number for a place I needed their FFL info faxed to and the guy said no problem.

then, on the 7th the seller emailed me to tell me they hadn't got the FFL info from highland pawn. I then called highland pawn to see if they would fax or email the FFL to the seller. the guy then told me that they don't do out-of-state transfers, and had never done so.

try to call riverside magnum range and look for Peter Lee, he used to be at Rancho magnum Range but Rancho magnum range is run by his kids now. I always do my out of state deals with him (peter Lee) and he is a straight forward guy.

Yes turners wants $125 + tax for an out of state deals, Thats without the S/H from the other end.

Good luck.

we are talking about dealer transfers in this thread, not PPT transfers. PPT transfers are limited by law to a maximum of $35 total ($25 DROS + a maximum of $10 dealer fee).

Ammo bros charges $100 ($25 Dros + $75 dealer), not $35 for a dealer transfer.

Quote:
Fees

Incoming FFL Transfers are $75.00 + $25.00 DROS (CA Background Check) + CA Sales Tax. All transfers from FFL dealers must have a CA Firearm Shipment Approval number. Any firearm received without an approval number will be returned at the buyers expense. Transfers from private individuals are exempt from CA Firearm Shipment Approvals and CA sales tax. All firearms received from a private individual MUST have a clear copy of the sellers ID included in the box.

Private Party Transfers

A Private Party Transfer is a transaction between two separate individuals living in CA. Both the buyer and seller MUST be present for this type of transaction. The PPT Fee is $35.00
