Thumbs up Just purchased the Ruger 10/22 Takedown at Big 5 in Perris

I saw a listing on Big 5 this past Friday, stating that they carry the Ruger 10/22 takedown. I called the Murrieta store and they were out, but they carry this item.

I called the Perris store and they had one...it had arrived on Thursday, and it was only on display for four hours before I called. They saved it for me, and I'll pick up in 10 days.

I found out that Big 5 gets their shipments every Thursday.

Just wanted to pass on this information. If you're looking for the Ruger 10/22 takedown, call the Big 5's in your area every Thursday.

I thought I had paid a high price ($385) but when I looked at Gun Broker, I see that the price wasn't so bad.

Good luck!

Congrats, but I think Big Five makes you pick it up on the 11th day.

Make sure to grab some ammo when you pick it up. I say this since Big 5 seems to only sell their ammo to those that buy rifles from them.

I believe the ones in my area restock on Tuesday, but just south of us Thursday or Friday. The folks there are usually pretty friendly and will tell you the restock day. Also if you are looking for any 'AR' type 22 just ask them, many have them in stock, but they won't display them so local new stations won't pop in and get camera shots of them on the shelf.

Rugersigkimber, did you buy the new TD with threaded barrel or the original production model?

Good job! Congrats. I got my 10/22 breakdown at Big5 in the BC (before crisis), I think I only paid maybe $20 less, so you did good.

As for Big5, their prices are a little higher than online, but sometimes really like to handle the firearm before I buy it. And if I do, I almost always buy from the shop.

Big5, in normal times, carries a decent selection of common rifles, and a good selection of .22 rifles (in our area).

I bought a Sig 522, Mini-14 stainless, and the 10/22 breakdown from them and they have always been good to do business with.

I just bought 5 boxes of .223 at my local Big 5 this morning for $12.99. They had lots of Winchester white box 5.56 for $13.99. Still expensive compared to 3 months ago, but certainly not $35 a box.

I see the 5.56/223 shortage definitely improving. Hopefully .22LR is not too far behind.

Yeh I got the 1022 last year For $299 on sale at sportsmans warehouse. i did a Buttler cr folding tactical stock, and cut it to fit, and made a special shim for it. You can see my youtube on this, it works perfect. Also a brovo site system AK style, which allows scope to be removed and still use iron perfectly. Enjoy that sucker !
