Default Yet another proof of residency question

When the CDL does not have the correct address and it is swiped for use with the DROS system as we are mandated to use the card swipe. Do we leave the address as is on the CDL or manually correct it to the purchasers current correct residency address as proved by the second approved proof of residency item?

I put in the corrected address but wouldn't swear that is what the DOJ wants. I have had the DROS software remind me that P.O. boxes aren't acceptable; so, I figure the current physical address can't be wrong...but I could be.

BTW: I've never had a DROS delay/denial on a manually entered correct address.

The DROS says you are swearing the information on it is correct and you go to prison if it isn't. I definitely put in the correct and current address.

That's what I thought but then again they get all weird when you manually enter anything since the swiper that you have to have.

when in doubt, use the 2nd proof (car reg) or the DMV info request. no one likes filling out DROS correction paperwork

i personally don't like the swiper. just hand file it, & double check before pressing submit.
