Default G34 holster for IPSC

Hello,

Looking for a holster for a glock 34. I normally use a fobus holster, but I don't know if it works well for a glock 34. I want something I can use for everyday range use but works well for beginning IPSC. Any other suggestions? I want to keep it "cheaper". Thanks

Bladetech or Comp-tac DOH kydex holsters. Inexpensive and well made. Perfectly suited for USPSA shooting.

Fobus sucks, get a BladeTech straight drop belt loop Black Ice holster for USPSA. For IPSC you could probably get some French brand....

+1 Blade Tech Black Ice DOH would be my choice, but Comp-Tac is also very popular. Both are what 90% plus of G34 Productions shooters use.

Make sure to get a belt system that fit's it well. You need an inch and a half wide belt that is in the range of 1/4" thick to fit the holster properly. The CR-Speed inner/outer belt systems are a good choice. The model that I recommend is the Super Hi-Torque Competition Belt system.

CPWSA is a good place to get this belt system: http://www.cpwsa.com/CR_Speed.htm

The Blade Tech Tec-Lok mag pouches are also a good choice. You will need 5-6 of them to handle the number of mags you will need to carry in USPSA Production.

I use Comptac (http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=66) with CR Speed EDC/IPDA Belt (http://www.cpwsa.com/cr_speed.htm) for both IDPA and USPSA. If you don’t shoot IDPA you may want more offset.

I encourage the OP to "not go cheap" with this holster. If you stick with the sport, you WILL want a good holster, so why not just get it now? There isn't much between a Fobus and a Blade-Tech/Comp-Tac kydex holster that offers any real price savings, and from which you won't want to eventually upgrade anyway.

Trust me man, just spend the cash on a good holster now and dont look back, i had a blackhawk and fobus when i first started and i had the blackhawk painted to match my glock... Now im stuck, i want the ghost stinger but i also want to keep my painted crappy blackhawk cause it matches my glock..

Oh and unless you want to look silly playing tug o war with your glock, just forget about the blackhawk... Stupid button catches..

Bladetech or ghost stinger is my advice

Thanks for the input. I should add that I want to get a 12 year old girl involved and she will be using the G34. It probably does not matter, but adding it in.
